Mayo de leyendas urbanas. Chile y sus leyendas.[esp-eng]
Saludos amigos amantes de lo paranormal, llega mayo y con el una nueva iniciativa Mayo de leyendas urbanas ofrecida por la comunidad @zonadeescalosfrios, si quieres asustarte estas en el lugar preciso.
Soy procedente del país de Chile y como ya deben de saber este es largo y angosto dividida en dieciséis regiones de norte a sur (tranquilos que no les daré una clase de geografía), cada región guarda sus leyendas urbanas, algunas asustan y otras simplemente te dejan pensando en qué o cómo sucedió y aquí iré pasando región por región mostrando sus leyendas urbanas.
Añañuca.
Zona norte.
Esta leyenda procede de la zona de Coquimbo, relata la historia de amor de la Añañuca, esta era una niña de gran belleza y muchos trataron de enamorarla sin embargo ninguno pudo, cierto día un minero apareció en busca de algún tesoro, al ver a esta joven se enamoró y para su fortuna la Añañuca se enamoró de él también. Una noche el minero tuvo un sueño donde un duende le mostraba el lugar exacto donde estaba la veta de oro, este le prometió a su enamorada que volvería y salió al alba siguiendo su sueño, esperó días y semanas pero su enamorado jamás regresó.
La Añañuca murió de amor y la gente del pueblo la sepultó un día de lluvia, si gente la lloró mucho, al día siguiente salió el sol como de costumbre y en el lugar donde había sido sepultada se llenó de flores rojas las cuales fueron bautizada como Añañuca.
No creas que esta historia es puro amor y nada más, se dice que en días verano próximos al otoño la Añañuca vuelve buscando a su enamorado, los embruja con su belleza y ya jamás los vuelven a ver, ojo que no a cualquiera ya que ella busca a hombres codicioso al igual que su amante el cual la dejó por una veta de oro que ni siquiera existía.
El chivato.
Zona centro norte.
Esta leyenda pertenece a Valparaíso, lugar donde el corsario Francis Drake descubrió la Bahía de Guayacán la cual tiene una forma de herradura. En esta bahía se escondían grandes tesoros de distintos piratas y bucaneros qué asaltaban galones. Se dice que hasta el día de hoy hay un tesoro de Francis Drake oculto el cual los pescadores tienen miedo de buscar por culpa del chivato, esta bestia sale cuando los merodeadores están cerca, este monstruo tiene gran fuerza y agarra a los intrusos en su hocico y los lleva a la cueva, allí los persigue hasta volverlos locos, de paso se vuelven en su alimento, al fin y al cabo debe alimentarse por cumplir su trabajo ¿o no?
La Quintrala.
Zona Centro.
Allá por el siglo XVII en Santiago vivía doña Catalina De Los Ríos alias la Quintrala, era una mujer de gran belleza con una cabellera roja como el fuego, además de su innegable belleza contaba con gran maldad, hacia acoso de su servidumbre quienes trataban de huir de ella por los cerros, los mandaba traer de vuelta y los hacía presa de su furia ya que doña Catalina nadie escapaba.
Esta mujer fue una bruja de la época ya que se dice hizo pactos con el demonio para conseguir el amor de un fraile, este se daba latigazos en su propio cuerpo para resistir al acoso de la Quintrala y terminó huyendo al Perú, entre los crímenes de la Quintrala estaba el parricidio.
Fue capturada y enjuiciada por parricidio y múltiples asesinatos de sus sirvientes y de uno que otro amante.
Toda una bruja maquiavélica quien al parecer supo muy bien cómo hacer sus tratos.
La Pincoya.
Zona Sur.
Una parte de esa leyenda cuenta que la Pincoya sale a danzar a las orillas del mar con un vaivén de sus blancas manos para vaticinar la buena pesca, si ella observa la costa da buen presagio de que la pesca será provechosa y cuantiosa, los pescadores se pone alegres si eso sucede en cambio si la Pincoya les da la espalda la pesca será más que mala y así no valdría la pena ir de pesca, en Chiloé tienen la costumbre de realizar cuantos en hoyo y hacer festejos para demostrarle su felicidad y que así la Pincoya los favorezca en fecundar el mar para ellos.
Esa es la parte linda pero hay un lado B en todo esto, la Pincoya siendo una ninfa del mar embruja a los pescadores con su melodiosa voz y hace que la sigan y así perderlos en las profundidades del mar, se dice que además de agradecerle le temen ya que si ella los embruja con su canto ya no serán encontrados.
El trauco.
Zona Sur.
Chiloé no sólo cuenta con la Pincoya sino también con el Trauco, este ser de apariencia horripilante embruja a las jóvenes vírgenes con magia creando sueños placenteros para llevarlas a lugares desolados y así abusar de ellas, las jóvenes del lugar rara vez salían solas ya que el temor a ser presa de este ser causaba terror, no obstante el Trauco sí sentía celos de algún hombre haciendo su magia torcía la boca del hombre provocando su muerte a los días posteriores.
Se cuenta que muchas mujeres quedaron embarazadas de este ser y con el paso del tiempo esta leyenda terminó siendo de tapadera para aquellas jóvenes que tenían intimidad sin estar casadas y resultaban embarazadas, no hallaban nada mejor que culpar al Trauco y al final más que temor terminó causando mofa ya que hasta el día de hoy se dice a una soltera embarazada la frase seguro te preño el Trauco.
Estas leyendas son algunas de las más conocidas de Chile sin embargo mi favorita es la siguiente.
La rubia de Kennedy.
Esta leyenda surgió por el año 78 donde numerosos taxistas relatan el mismo cotidiano suceso.
Una mujer joven vestida de vestido largo y blanco hace parar un taxi y sube pidiendo que la lleven a un lugar cercano, una conversación casi nula entre chófer y pasajera, lo que dicen los taxistas es que al subir la mujer a sus autos se siente un extraño frío dentro del vehículo, un escalofrío recorre sus espaldas mientras observan a la mujer por el vidrio retrovisor.
Al paso de unos metros y aumentando la velocidad del automóvil la mujer en el asiento trasero dice no corrá y simplemente desaparece, los chóferes asombrados se dan cuenta que dentro del auto no hay nadie, bajan a observar y tampoco hay nadie fuera, desconcertados siguen su rumbo sintiendo aún el extraño frío dentro del auto.
En varias ocasiones llegaron los taxistas a la comisaría más cercana a dar reporte donde se burlaban de ellos por la magnitud del relato, sin embargo este hecho se dio más de una vez a lo cual la policía no sabía si creer o no. En una ocasión uno de los taxistas no aguantó el miedo ante lo ocurrido en su vehículo y terminó con descompostura de estómago, ya se imaginarán cómo llegó el afligido hombre a la comisaría.
Se dice que está mujer rubia era una trabajadora de la corporación de la madera quien falleció en el año 78, mismo año del inicio de la leyenda, sin embargo otros dicen que está mujer vestida de blanco falleció en un accidente automovilístico en la avenida Kennedy al regresar de ver su novio y por ese motivo se desvanece cuando el chófer acelera.
Años más tarde se hizo una película de esta leyenda donde la difunta Carolina Fadic le dio vida a esta rubia de Kennedy sin embargo en la cinta la muchacha en cuestión es una mujer de la colonia alemana.
Las versiones van variando de año en año, lo que sí es cierto es que los chóferes de esa ruta paran al llamado de la muchacha rubia quien a los metros desaparece sin explicación alguna.
Esta es mi participación sobre leyendas urbanas respondiendo a una de las preguntas ¿conoces leyendas urbanas de tu país?, En en el tintero quedaron algunas como por ejemplo el Caleuche qué es un barco fantasmal, las tres Pascualas historia que relata la tragedia de tres hermana seducidas por el mismo hombre y viendo que ninguna podría tener la exclusividad de su amor deciden ahogarse en una laguna, hoy por hoy se dice que si un hombre juega con alguna mujer estas tres hermanas salen y lo seducen para llevarlo con ellas ya que que una mujer nadie juega.

I come from the country of Chile and as you may already know this is a long and narrow country divided in sixteen regions from north to south (don't worry I won't give you a geography lesson), each region keeps its urban legends, some are scary and others just leave you thinking about what or how it happened and here I will go region by region showing its urban legends.
Añañuca
Northern zone.
This legend comes from the area of Coquimbo, it tells the love story of the Añañuca, this was a girl of great beauty and many tried to fall in love with her however none could, one day a miner appeared in search of some treasure, when he saw this young woman he fell in love and to his fortune the Añañuca fell in love with him too. One night the miner had a dream where a goblin showed him the exact place where the vein of gold was, he promised his lover that he would return and left at dawn following his dream, he waited for days and weeks but his lover never returned.
The Añañuca died of love and the people of the town buried her one rainy day, the next day the sun came out as usual and the place where she had been buried was filled with red flowers which were baptized as Añañuca.
**Do not believe that this story is pure love and nothing more, it is said that in summer days close to autumn the Añañuca returns looking for her lover, she bewitches them with her beauty and they never see them again, but not just anyone because she looks for greedy men just like her lover who left her for a vein of gold that did not even exist.
El chivato.
North-central zone.
This legend belongs to Valparaíso, place where the corsair Francis Drake discovered the Guayacán Bay which has a horseshoe shape. In this bay great treasures were hidden from different pirates and buccaneers who raided gallons. It is said that to this day there is a treasure of Francis Drake hidden which the fishermen are afraid to look for because of the chivato, this beast comes out when the marauders are near, this monster has great strength and grabs the intruders in his snout and takes them to the cave, there he chases them until they go crazy, in the process they become his food, after all he must feed for doing his job, right?
La Quintrala.
Central Zone.
Back in the seventeenth century in Santiago lived Doña Catalina De Los Rios aka the Quintrala, was a woman of great beauty with a red hair like fire, in addition to its undeniable beauty had great evil, to harass his servants who tried to flee from her by the hills, sent them back and made them prey to his fury as Doña Catalina nobody escaped.
This woman was a witch of the time since it is said that she made pacts with the devil to get the love of a friar, this one whipped his own body to resist the harassment of the Quintrala and ended up fleeing to Peru, among the crimes of the Quintrala was patricide.
She was captured and tried for parricide and multiple murders of her servants and one or another lover.
She was a Machiavellian witch who apparently knew very well how to make her deals.
La Pincoya
South Zone.
A part of that legend tells that the Pincoya comes out to dance on the shores of the sea with a swaying of her white hands to predict good fishing, if she observes the coast gives good omen that the fishing will be profitable and substantial, The fishermen are happy if that happens, on the other hand if the Pincoya turns her back on them the fishing will be more than bad and it would not be worth going fishing. In Chiloé they have the custom of making quanta in the hole and make celebrations to show their happiness and so the Pincoya favors them in fertilizing the sea for them.
That is the nice part but there is a B side to all this, the Pincoya being a sea nymph bewitches the fishermen with her melodious voice and makes them follow her and thus lose them in the depths of the sea, it is said that besides thanking her they fear her because if she bewitches them with her song they will not be found.
The trauco.
Southern Zone.
Chiloé not only has the Pincoya but also the Trauco, this being of horrifying appearance bewitches young virgins with magic creating pleasant dreams to take them to desolate places and thus abuse them, the young women of the place rarely went out alone because the fear of being prey of this being caused terror, however the Trauco if he felt jealous of a man doing his magic twisted the man's mouth causing his death a few days later.
It is said that many women became pregnant by this being and with the passage of time this legend ended up being a cover for those young women who were intimate without being married and became pregnant, they found nothing better than to blame the Trauco and in the end more than fear ended up causing mockery because to this day they say to a pregnant single woman the phrase "Surely the Trauco will impregnate you".

The blonde of Kennedy
This legend arose around the year 78 where numerous cab drivers relate the same daily occurrence.
A young woman dressed in a long white dress stops a cab and gets in asking to be taken to a nearby place, an almost null conversation between driver and passenger, what the cab drivers say is that when the woman gets into their cars she feels a strange cold inside the vehicle, a shiver runs down her back while watching the woman through the rearview mirror.
After a few meters and increasing the speed of the car, the woman in the back seat says don't run and simply disappears, the astonished drivers realize that there is no one inside the car, they get out to observe and there is no one outside either, bewildered they continue on their way still feeling the strange cold inside the car.
On several occasions the cab drivers arrived at the nearest police station to give a report, where they were mocked for the magnitude of the story, but this happened more than once and the police did not know whether to believe it or not. On one occasion one of the cab drivers could not stand the fear of what happened in his vehicle and ended up with a stomach ailment, you can imagine how the afflicted man arrived at the police station.
It is said that this blonde woman was a worker of the wood corporation who died in the year 78, the same year of the beginning of the legend, however others say that this woman dressed in white died in a car accident on Kennedy Avenue when returning from seeing her boyfriend and for that reason she vanished when the driver accelerated.
Years later a movie was made of this legend where the late Carolina Fadic gave life to this Kennedy blonde, however in the film the girl in question is a woman from the German colony.
The versions vary from year to year, what is certain is that the drivers of that route stop at the call of the blonde girl who disappears without any explanation.
This is my participation on urban legends answering one of the questions "Do you know urban legends of your country? In the inkwell were some of them like for example ** the Caleuche which is a ghostly ship, the three Pascualas story that tells the tragedy of three sisters seduced by the same man and seeing that none could have the exclusivity of their love decide to drown in a lagoon, today it is said that if a man plays with a woman these three sisters go out and seduce him to take him with them because a woman nobody plays**.

Que buen compilado de leyendas chilenas. Solo conocía la de La Quintrala y la de la rubia de Kennedy se parece mucho a una que sale en Venezuela, pero no solo pide taxis sino que a cualquier hombre que vaya solo en la noche, les pide un aventón.
Esa no tenía idea, la voy a investigar porque me encanta las leyendas, sobre todo leerlas antes de dormir y así tener sueños plácidos 😂.

Una gran diversidad de leyendas urbanas que tiene tu país, muchas de ellas me parecen fascinantes e inspiran cuentos de terror. Me saco una risa lo del Trauco, las chicas traviesas echándole la culpa por si embarazo, la cultura popular da para todo. Jaja...

Tienes razón con la leyenda del Trauco pasaron gato por liebre las mujeres pillas y terminaban siendo pseudo víctimas de un ser que ni culpa tenía.
Wow, no conocía muchas de las que mencionaste a excepción del Trauco y la del Chivato. Las leyendas tienen la fascinación de ser únicas pero teniendo elementos de otras haciendo que la narración se convierta en ficción.
Si puedes busca la película de la Rubia de Kennedy, es muy buena, la vi hace años cuando era pequeña.
No conozco ninguna y las voy a leer todas, por cultura general más que todo aparte del gusto por el terror 😛 muajajajajaja
Aparte de estas leyendas hay muchas más, otras que no las encuentras en archivos pero si en lo colectivo de los lugares.
Pronto pondré un relato de una leyenda urbana qué se relata en el sector donde resido.
Holis...me parece muy interesante el hecho de aprender más de este tipo de historias, historias que están marcadas en la en el alma de nuestros países, pues así como es el caso de Chile, en los de más países de Sudamérica también abunda el terror de los mitos y leyendas.
Así es, pasa de generación en generación, en mi caso los aprendido niña ya que en la clase de historia las vimos y hasta examen nos hacían, recuerdo que me toco exponer sobre la Quintrala, me asombre con su vida y siendo pequeña me dio miedo.
Voy a contratar al chivato para que custodie mi casa. Anda mucho mamandro pr acá jaja y el truco, me recordó al pomberito que hace algo parecido..terrible.
La última leyenda es la más reversionada alrededor del mundo uff millares de versiones incluso acá hay una en versión masculina pero con un final un poco más turbio ajjaa

Cada país tiene sus leyendas y esta parte me gusta mucho, el temor de no saber que tanta realidad o ficción hay en cada historia.
Esta sin duda será una edición de miedo y conocimientos de cada país.
Interesantes leyendas de mi querido Chile, conozco a ese país por medio de mi querida Isabel Allende y su bellas descripciones de su país. Al leerte me sumergí en la magia de su cultura nuevamente, porque las leyendas son parte de cada lugar. Fue muy placentero leerte, un abrazo!
