Noche sin Paz: un film en el que Santa Claus se convierte en superheroe (ES/EN)

Hola amigos de Hive, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi opinión sobre Noche Sin Paz, una película de la cual tenía muy buenas expectativas pues con frecuencia era espectador de trailers que promocionaban el film, y se veía bastante bueno, aunque la idea de un Santa Claus violento me parecía un poco rebuscada. Al estrenarse en cartelera a principios de este mes de diciembre decidí volver a las salas de cine después de un tiempo para ver este film.
Noche Sin Paz cuyo título original es “Violent Night” fue estrenada el 2 de diciembre de este mismo año, está dirigida por Tommy Wirkola y protagonizada por David Harbour y por John Leguizamo como antagonista. En esta historia de acción y comedia, podemos observar a un Santa Claus holgazán, cansado, y ebrio, quien se convierte en una especie de guerrero y defensor. Durante la noche de navidad cuando nuestro protagonista sale a entregar los regalos en todos los hogares, este decide tomarse un descanso en una lujosa casa antes de continuar su labor, pero pronto se entera que la adinerada familia que habita la casa ha sido tomada como rehén y en lugar de huir, Santa Claus decide enfrentarlos para ayudar a esta familia.
Una de las cosas más llamativas de este film es la participación de David Harbour como protagonista, este actor es más conocido por su papel como Hopper en la serie Stranger Things, y su actuación es realmente buena. En ocasiones enfrascamos a los actores con sus personajes más famosos y no nos creemos la historia, pero en este caso Harbour lo hace tan bien, que personalmente no lo relacioné en ningún momento con su papel en la serie de Netflix.
Este film es una combinación de acción, comedia y gore (sangre) tiene imágenes bastante explicitas, en algunos momentos se me pareció a Destino Final, por el azar y la sangre en ciertas escenas violentas. En ocasiones puede gustarme el gore en las películas sobre todo en las de terror, pero en este film lo sentí un poco fuera de lugar o forzado, de verdad no me esperaba ver ese tipo de escenas y sentí que no las digerí fácilmente.
En cuanto a la comedia del film, debo decir que tiene sus momentos graciosos, pero la mayor parte deja mucho que desear, sin embargo, debo ser realista, no es una comedia en su máxima expresión así que no está mal.
Creo que me he enfocado hasta el momento en aspectos negativos del film, y si debo rescatar algo de este film, es que su trama está muy bien construida, mantiene nuestra atención en todo momento, algo que se ve reforzado con vistazos al pasado de Santa Claus que intentan explicarnos un poco su origen y el porqué de sus habilidades con las armas cuerpo a cuerpo de las que se vale para dar una paliza a los villanos.
El film está cargado de emociones, hay compasión, amor, ira, soberbia, miedo. Creo que esto hace que cada evento, cada escena tenga más impacto sobre nosotros, esto contribuye en gran medida para mantener nuestra atención en el desarrollo de la historia.
Para cerrar este texto debo decir, que si quieren ir al cine, y tiene la oportunidad de Elegir el Gato con Botas en lugar de Noche sin Paz, vean El Gato con Botas. Noche sin paz es un film que es mejor verlo en la comodidad de nuestra casa, no es un film tan bueno como para verse en Cine yo le doy en puntuación un 6 de 10.

Hello friends of Hive, today I want to share with you my opinion about Violent Night, a film of which I had very good expectations because I was often a spectator of trailers that promoted the film, and it looked pretty good, although the idea of a violent Santa Claus seemed a bit far-fetched to me. When it was released in theaters at the beginning of December, I decided to return to theaters after a while to see this film.
Violent Night, was released on December 2 of this year, directed by Tommy Wirkola and starring David Harbour and John Leguizamo as the antagonist. In this action-comedy story, we can observe a lazy, tired, and drunk Santa Claus, who becomes a kind of warrior and defender. During the night of Christmas when our protagonist goes out to deliver gifts to all the homes, he decides to take a break in a luxurious house before continuing his work, but he soon learns that the wealthy family living in the house has been taken hostage and instead of fleeing, Santa Claus decides to confront them to help this family.
One of the most striking things about this film is the participation of David Harbour as the protagonist, this actor is best known for his role as Hopper in the series Stranger Things, and his performance is really good. Sometimes we engross actors with their more famous characters and we don't believe the story, but in this case Harbour does it so well, that personally I didn't relate it at any time with his role in the Netflix series.
This film is a combination of action, comedy and gore (blood) has quite explicit images, in some moments it resembled Final Destination to me, because of the randomness and blood in certain violent scenes. Sometimes I can like gore in movies, especially in horror films, but in this film I felt it was a little out of place or forced, I really did not expect to see that kind of scenes and I felt that I did not digest them easily.
As for the comedy of the film, I must say that it has its funny moments, but most of it leaves a lot to be desired, however, I must be realistic, it's not comedy at its best so it's not bad.
I think I have focused so far on negative aspects of the film, and if I must rescue something from this film, it is that its plot is very well constructed, it keeps our attention at all times, something that is reinforced with glimpses into Santa's past that try to explain a little of his origin and the reason for his skills with melee weapons that he uses to beat up the villains.
The film is emotionally charged, there is compassion, love, anger, pride, fear. I think this makes every event, every scene have more impact on us, this contributes greatly to keep our attention on the development of the story.
To close this text I must say that if you want to go to the movies, and you have the opportunity to choose Puss in Boots instead of Violent Night, watch Puss in Boots. Violent Night is a film that is better to watch in the comfort of our home, it is not a good enough film to be seen in a cinema, I give it a score of 6 out of 10.

Ayer estuve a punto de verla pero desvié mi atención hacia otra película. Ahora que sé que es David Harbour puede que la considere para una próxima ocasión, aunque no es para nada el tipo de película que suelo ver, puede que la vea.

Me han hablado mucho de esta película, al ver la portada sentí que era una película de acción estilo Bruce Willis, pero con toque navideño. Un Santa actuando como un héroe igual Liam Neeson o Jason Statham me parece bastante singular, al menos es algo diferente 😅😅😅

Hola, es una película que puede ser bastante entretenida, pero para verla en casa, no sé si aún está en cartelera pero hay mejores películas en en cine , como el gato con botas jeje.
