Hola amigos de Hive, en mi reseña cinematográfica anterior hice mención de El Gato con Botas: el último deseo, ya que me pareció sumamente buena y no puedo dejar pasar la oportunidad de reseñarla. No soy amante del cine animado, no tengo nada en contra pero siempre doy preferencia a otro tipo de películas, tal vez me gusta más el hecho de observar actores de carne y hueso, aun así disfruto mucho las buenas películas animadas, hay grandes obras maestras del cine animado, una de mis favoritas es Coraline.

El gato con Botas: el último deseo, fue estrenada a principios de este mes de diciembre, está dirigida por Joel Crawford y protagonizada por las voces de Antonio Banderas como el Gato con botas y Salma Hayek como Kitty Patita suave. La historia se basa en que nuestro protagonista quien se jacta de tener 9 vidas y considerarse casi invencible, de pronto se da cuenta que está viviendo su vida, y es visitado por un lobo que representa la muerte, quien a atemoriza al Gato con botas, y este decide retirarse de sus travesías y se va un “albergue para gatos” pero hay quienes todavía buscan al gato para obtener una recompensa, como Ricitos de Oro y los tres osos. Pronto descubren la existencia de un tesoro que promete cumplirles un deseo. Así que el gato con botas inicia su travesía para pedir más vidas, pero los villanos también se aventuran en su búsqueda en una tierra mágica, en donde se enfrentan entre sí, para cada uno cumplir sus deseos.

Creo que todo lo que tengo que decir de este film es muy positivo, es una historia de acción muy divertida, en donde pasamos de ver a un Gato valiente y aguerrido a un gato con mucho miedo, algo que me pareció muy interesante, pues el Gato con Botas es una figura valiente que nunca se acobarda, me pareció un giro inesperado en la historia que le da mucho valor. La verdadera amistad es otro aspecto sale a relucir, de manera inesperada se forma un vínculo fuerte con un pequeño y “tonto” perro, que finalmente termina dándonos una lección de moral y autenticidad. Por otro lado, Kitty Patita suave y el Gato con botas, no enseñan la importancia de saber perdonar y nos dan una gran demostración de lo que es el trabajo en equipo.

En cuanto a los aspectos técnicos me llamó la atención, como en escenas de acción, la animación parecía ir a una velocidad de cuadros por segundo bastante reducida. No conozco la razón, pero asumo que es un retoque artístico que quisieron darle al film, debo decir que no me desagradó, seguramente ya lo han hecho en otras películas animadas pero como casi no soy espectador de este tipo de cine, me pareció innovador, espero que no sea que el film tenia y errores y yo creyendo que es un retoque artístico jaja. Los gráficos me parecieron sencillos, para como está la tecnología de avanzada me pareció que las animaciones son como de principios de la década pasada, pero tampoco esperaba más, sé que este tipo de películas no requieren evolucionar tanto en esos aspectos.

Las voces de los actores son esplendidas, como siempre la voz del gato interpretada por Antonio Banderas es única, sumamente divertida e interesante, de igual forma la voz de Kitty Patita suave interpretada por Salma Hayek es muy interesante pues tiene un toque di dulzura y al mismo tiempo desafiante y aguerrida.

Al final la historia nos deja una gran lección en cuanto a la amistad, a enfrentar nuestros miedos y aceptar lo que somos. Me divertí mucho viendo esta película y la recomiendo altamente, la van a disfrutar, si tienen la oportunidad de verla en las salas de cine, no la dejen pasar.

I am not an animated movie lover, I have nothing against it but I always prefer other kind of movies, maybe I like more the fact of watching flesh and blood actors, even so I enjoy very much the good animated movies, there are great masterpieces of animated movies, one of my favorites is Coraline.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was released earlier this December, directed by Joel Crawford and starring the voices of Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots and Salma Hayek as Kitty Soft Paw. The story is based on our protagonist who boasts of having 9 lives and considers himself almost invincible, suddenly realizes that he is living his life, and is visited by a wolf that represents death, who frightens Puss in Boots, and he decides to retire from his travels and goes to a "cat shelter" but there are those who still seek the cat for a reward, such as Goldilocks and the three bears. So Puss in Boots begins his journey to ask for more lives, but the villains also venture on his quest in a magical land, where they are pitted against each other, each to fulfill their wishes.

I think all I have to say about this film is very positive, it is a very funny action story, where we go from seeing a brave and brave Puss to a very scared cat, something that I found very interesting, because Puss in Boots is a brave figure who never chickens out, I thought it was an unexpected twist in the story that gives it a lot of value. True friendship is another aspect that comes to light, unexpectedly forming a strong bond with a small and "silly" dog, which finally ends up giving us a lesson in morality and authenticity. On the other hand, Kitty Soft Paw and Puss in Boots teach us the importance of forgiveness and give us a great demonstration of teamwork.

As for the technical aspects I was struck by how, in action scenes, the animation seemed to go at a rather slow frame rate per second. I don't know the reason, but I assume that it is an artistic touch up that they wanted to give to the film, I must say that I didn't dislike it, surely they have already done it in other animated films but as I am almost not a spectator of this type of cinema, I found it innovative, I hope it is not that the film had and errors and I believe that it is an artistic touch up haha. The graphics seemed simple to me, for how advanced technology is it seemed to me that the animations are like from the beginning of the last decade, but I did not expect more, I know that this kind of movies do not need to evolve so much in those aspects.

The voices of the actors are splendid, as always the voice of the cat played by Antonio Banderas is unique, extremely funny and interesting, likewise the voice of Kitty Soft Paw played by Salma Hayek is very interesting because it has a touch of sweetness and at the same time defiant and feisty.

In the end the story leaves us with a great lesson about friendship, facing our fears and accepting who we are. I had a lot of fun watching this movie and I highly recommend it, you will enjoy it, if you have the opportunity to see it in theaters, do not miss it.
