Investment in knowledge pays the best interest

When Benjamin Franklin said that an investment in knowledge pays the best interest you probably did not get the big picture. But this big picture stares at me every time I feel like I am experiencing writing blocks and I can't seem to come up with something to write about.

It's almost every evening that my friend calls and asks if I have done my writing for the day. He knows my 365-day writing goals and how important the hivebuzz badge for successfully getting through to it is to me. So he calls every evening and asks if I have written something or mockingly asks if I am still thinking. The last part he does so because I always sigh before answering him that I have no idea what to write about.

However, every time I get stuck in the loop of not having something to write around, I realize I haven't prep myself for that day around the necessary information I needed to gather to give me a solid foundation to write something worthy of being read by another person out there. And once this realization hits, my heart breaks, and I start to blame myself for not preparing and being nonchalant about the whole thing throughout the day.

Sometimes, it's not my fault that I did not find the time to prepare. And that's because there are days I wake up and roam around the world trying to sort out a few personal things. This keeps me busy throughout the day and leaves me all tired and inspirationally worn out.

Even though this is no excuse, I realize one important thing about being prepared. It takes away the doubts in my heart about not being able to do what I set my heart to do. Preparation gives me the confidence to write extensively on a topic and not shy away from sharing my thoughts on a particular subject.

Franklin was indeed right because being prepared for my writing journey means I invest time, energy, and resources to learn deeply about the topics or conversations that I want to have on my account. The beat interest it pays for me is adding one more green to my 365-day goal and understanding that I have a few more weeks, months, and days to push through until the last day when I'll finally get that badge.

As it stands, if you ask me if I want to do the badge thing next year, you will be pleased to know that I would. This is because having the badge goal in mind makes me not crawl up into my bedsheets and sleep off when my body feels like it. My brain tries to remind her that the badge is important and she's got to do what she's got to do.

I remember reading different articles about President Trump and how he lost everything but was able to build again because of the financial education that he had. This is the kind of example that buttresses the point that Benjamin Franklin made with his quote. And President Trump is a living example that investing in knowledge indeed pays the best interest.

You could wake up and lose everything today, but you will not lose the knowledge that you accumulated over the years. They will stay with you and help you navigate your financial life as you race towards reaching all of your goals. Don't stop investing in yourself!

Your reflections in this post are very interesting and very true. In fact, my grandmother used to say that the only thing that will stay with us all our lives is the knowledge we acquire.

What you mention that happens to you when writing is very common, and is called "writer's block". It is normal to feel that sometimes we do not have enough ideas to write as we would like, but there are many solutions to overcome this blockage.

I tell you all of this, but the truth is that I myself constantly suffer from the onslaught of said writer's block. And it's one of the things I have to overcome in order to get ahead here at HIVE and at LeoFinance.

Very good post. Greetings.

Hey, thank you so much @piensocrates
Your grandma is right, what we have inside of us is what will stay with us, the rest of the things might go away, in a way that if we want them again, we have to use what we have in us, to get them back.

Every writer suffers from writer's block, at least, I think I am sure of this one. Thank you for letting me know that I am alone.

It's amazing that you can always move past yours and do your best in the platform. Kudos!

Thank you again for your support 🙈
