Hello Gardeners
How are you today? I hope and pray that we are all always given health and happiness in living our lives. I am very happy, finally given the time and opportunity to participate again and also contribute to this Hive Garden Community.

It seems like it's been a long time since I wrote about gardening activities in my hydroponic garden. I am still active in gardening with a hydroponic system, because that is my job and also my hobby.

However, I have difficulty dividing my time between running a business and also sharing time to write about my experiences. So, because I have a little free time, I will share my experiences about my activities in my hydroponic garden this week.

Condition of Lettuce in My Hydroponic Garden

So, for the first time. I will invite my friends to see the condition of the lettuce that I grow in my hydroponic garden. During this planting period, I planted around 800 pots of lettuce with two different planting ages. Since the last two months, I have carried out a good planting cycle to maintain the consistency of my lettuce harvest.

Currently, I have about 300 pots of lettuce with a planting age of about 20 days after sowing. This lettuce is in very good condition and grows optimally. The majority of this lettuce grows uniformly with a bright green color. During this planting period, I used a liquid fertilizer solution with a concentration of around 700-800 ppm.

For your information, currently the city where I live is dry and the weather is very hot. These weather conditions cause the water in the hydroponic media to run out quickly and evaporate. As a result, there is a hydroponic medium where the water is empty. This makes the lettuce I plant dry and look wilted. I tried adding water to save some of the lettuce.

Since some time ago, I have made changes to the planting system in my hydroponic media. At first, every vegetable that I planted in my hydroponic media had a distance of about 15 cm from each netpot. I changed the system, by creating a planting distance of 20 cm. What was the result of that change? keep reading my post.

I also have about 500 pots of lettuce with a planting age of about 35 days after sowing. The lettuce that I planted is a type of maraitima lettuce or caipira lettuce from PT. Indo Seed Indonesia. From the information on the seed packaging, this lettuce is an imported type of lettuce that is suitable for growing in the Indonesian climate.

Several hydroponic farmers who recommended this lettuce to me also said that this lettuce is capable of growing around 200 grams per pot. For almost 3 months I have been growing this lettuce, the harvest of this lettuce has never disappointed both the weight of the vegetables and their durability.

Back again about plant spacing in my hydroponic media. The lettuce that I grow mini has beautiful dry leaf shapes and bright green leaf colors. The shape of this vegetable is influenced by good spacing so that each leaf has the freedom to grow well.

Condition of Kangkong in My Hydroponic Garden
Apart from lettuce, I also grow kangkong in my hydroponic garden. Kangkong is one of the favorite vegetables in Indonesia. Kangkong is also a favorite vegetable for hydroponic farmers or people who want to learn about farming using a hydroponic system. Kangkong has all the requirements, such as being easy to grow, resistant to pest attacks, and adaptive to climate change.

In this planting period, I have around 300 pots of kangkong with a planting age of around 20 days after sowing. The condition of the kangkong that I planted is growing very well and optimally. We can see it from the condition of the kangkong which grows uniformly and looks beautiful. My plan is to harvest all the kangkong tomorrow.

Condition of Mint Leaves in My Hydroponic Garden
After seeing the condition of the lettuce and kangkong in my Hydroponic Garden. I will invite my friends to see the condition of the mint leaves that I planted in my hydroponic installation. I plant mint leaves in PVC hydroponic installations with various installation models such as vertical installations or wall installations.

The mint leaves that I plant in my hydroponic installation grow very well and optimally. I also harvest regularly and get a lot of benefits from these mint leaves. Each 100 grams of mint leaves costs around 2 USD and that is very profitable for me.

I also take optimal care of these mint leaves. Such as applying the right fertilizer solution and also spraying organic pesticides to prevent pest attacks that damage each mint leaf. OK, maybe this is my post this time, hopefully we'll meet again another time.

Your hydroponic vegetables look very good! I don't know what Kangkong is. Do you cook it?

Please try to remember to leave a link to your monthly garden journal entry on the announcement post. I nearly missed this one!
