Ludens Coffee
Hello every one and all members of the community, how are you guys today? did you have a nice day? if you are worried or anxious. Try having a cup of latte it might make you feel better. Oh yes, when I was going to write this post I was having stomach problems because I ate too spicy food (my stupidity) this afternoon. I hope all of you are always healthy and happy in every activity or work you are doing. This time, I would like to share my experience visiting a new coffee shop not far from my parents' house.

Visiting a new coffee shop has been my favorite activity since I started liking coffee. I often come and try the menu available at every new coffee shop I visit. Usually, I also observe the concept and interior or exterior design of the coffee shop I am currently visiting to increase my insight and knowledge about coffee shop design. I have a dream to have my own coffee shop, and first going to a coffee shop around where I live, I consider it my way to gain experience and relationships. The new coffee shop I visited was called Ludens Coffee.

The word Ludens may be a little foreign to you, but if you often read books on the left-leaning progressive or socialism. Ludens has the meaning of people in Slovak, but from the Latin Ludens is often used for the word "Homo Ludens" which we can interpret as "playing creatures". I'm trying to guess, the meaning they use. When I looked at the price list and menu, I realized this coffee is not for the common people. Some of the menu prices from this coffee shop are a little expensive, but this coffee shop is very spacious and has many spots for us to enjoy a cup of coffee alone or with our friends.

Design Interior
When I entered, we immediately found the bar counter and the cashier. The concept of a bar like this is currently popular in Indonesia, so every customer will immediately order a menu and pay. For your information, this way of ordering can only be found in modern coffee shops. If you come to a traditional coffee shop in my city, you will sit at the table first and order a menu of food or drinks. After your business is finished at the coffee shop and will leave the place, you will pay to the waiter or cashier. There are often cases, some people (especially young people), often do not pay or run away when hanging out at traditional coffee shops.

The room from Ludens Coffee is very spacious, and consists of many rooms with various different concepts. In addition to the indoor room, Ludens Coffee also has a very cool outdoor space. For interior design, this coffee shop combines wooden ornaments (wood color) and indoor plants that have wide leaves with green leaves.

I actually cringed, trying to explore every corner of this coffee shop. I got quite a lot of information and gossip about the house that was used as a coffee shop, because I was born and raised not far from this house. Ludens Coffee uses a very large house, we used to know this house as a haunted house. As far as I can remember, no one, office, or family is comfortable living in this house, and now it is so crowded because it has turned into a coffee shop.

A Cup of Caffe Latte

When I visit a coffee shop, my menu choices are a cup of caffe latte or manual brew V60 (specifically for certain coffee shops). I ordered a cup of caffee latte and paid IDR 35 (2.5 USD), I avoided ordering iced coffee because the iced menu will be served in a plastic glass (less aesthetic when photographed). I'm also learning to pronounce caffe latte, I used to call it just “latte” and I just found out that “latte” is Italian for milk. Fortunately, I was never given fresh milk despite the mispronunciation.

My order came not long after I wandered around this coffee shop. A cup of caffe latte accompanied by a cup of water and 3 biscuits. It's always nice when restaurants, coffee shops, or food vendors provide free drinking water. I came alone that night, my wife was out with her friends and this coffee became my friend that night.

I enjoyed the moment of a cup of caffee latte that I was sipping slowly. The taste of espresso mixed with fresh milk makes a different dimension in my mouth. Caffe Lattee is made in a 2:1 ratio, meaning that every 2ml of fresh milk is compared to 1ml of espresso, of course the milky taste is stronger. I get a heart-shaped latte art in my coffee and I don't spoil it to the end of my coffee.

Okay, this is the end of my story this time. Every now and then, we need to enjoy the moment of a cup of coffee alone like I did this time.
