Today I come to share with you one of my favorite desserts, the cinnamon roles, which is nothing more than a roll of soft and fluffy dough, filled with sugar and cinnamon, with the magic touch of a vanilla frosting starring cream cheese, and obviously if we add chocolate we take it up a notch. This type of repairs are easy and can be done overnight without any setback, but personally I love them freshly baked warm and super soft, I think that's what makes us want to eat more than one, of course as everything has its technique respecting its fermentation time and using the right amounts of ingredients for sure the result will be magnificent.

For those who are not cinnamon lovers, we can also make them filled with sugar, nuts, chocolates, among others. In a very well known shopping center located near my city they sell spectacular ones that are always part of my favorite stops, although lately they are a little expensive, so nothing better than preparing some at home. This kind of sweet bread is traditionally accompanied with a good coffee for a snack or breakfast, although personally I find them excellent to eat at any time of the day, especially on a rainy afternoon, even to accompany an ice cream. Besides, they can be kept in a refractory for several days as a normal sweet bread, and when heated it will keep its sponginess and softness as the first day.

**Cinnamon roles**

QuantityIngredient
500 gramsFlour
120 gramsSugar
2Eggs
1 teaspoonfulVanilla
3 tablespoonsMargarine
250 milliliterswarm milk

Step by step

In a bowl add the flour, the granulated yeast, the milk, the sugar and the eggs, knead and surely add the margarine, roast on our work table and continue kneading for 15 minutes, let it rest until it doubles in size.

Next, with a rolling pin we stretch our dough in a rectangle of 30 cm by 40 cm approximately, that our dough is thin, then we mix the cinnamon with the sugar and the margarine and we will make a kind of cream that we will understand along our dough.

For the Filling

QuantityIngredient
3 tablespoons3 tablespoons butter
120 gramsSugar
2 tablespoonsCinnamon

Now, we are going to roll our dough little by little from the top to the bottom, pressing the dough well, carefully, but you must leave the roll firm so that later it will be easier to make the cuts and they will be neat and the filling will not come out.

Cut portions of approximately 3 cm each and place in a greased baking pan. Cover and let them double in size.

Now, after this time, add half a cup of milk so that they hydrate during cooking, and bake in the oven at 180° for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

To prepare the frosting we mix all the ingredients and add to our roles while they are still hot, we can also add chocolate ganache or dulce de leche, let stand and enjoy.

For the frosting

QuantityIngredient
3 tablespoonsButter
250 gramsIcing sugar
1 tablespoonVanilla

Hello @irenebarreto

Your post was curated by our team and was included in our curation report today; however, I will make some observations in this regard:

  • You present some rolls that have some toppings, however, the process of making the toppings is not illustrated, nor how you apply them.

  • The photos of the final product, that is, the ready-made rolls, do not appear to be original.

If you look at our community rules, they were recently changed. They expressly request that users appear preparing their recipes in a MINIMUM of 3 photos, if there are more, the better.

Now, so that you avoid your account being silenced, and continue posting in the Foodies Bee Hive community, we will make the following suggestions:

  • Everything you include in your posts must be developed in a well-structured and understandable step-by-step, explained with photos and text.

  • You must appear in the photos of all your publications, preparing your recipes.

We hope you will take these suggestions into consideration.

Greetings.
