Wednesday Walk || neglected tourist spot
Hallo everyone..
On this occasion I want to share a little story about my excitement when I was walking in one of the tourism places in the country where I live, but the place has been closed during the covid 19 pandemic so far.
The tourist spot is called the Jeulikat reservoir, basically this reservoir is used to drain water into the rice fields belonging to local residents, but besides that, investors take advantage of the land by building various kinds of infrastructure such as parks, relaxing huts, coffee shops and several buildings. This classic house is specially made for those who like to take selfies, all of that is done for the realization of a beautiful tourist spot.
During the pandemic period I never came to the reservoir location, and I thought it had been a long time, finally I invited 2 friends to visit the reservoir location but here we have to go through the back lane because the main gate is closed.
There is a suspension bridge at the location of the reservoir where this bridge is specially made for visitors who like to take classic photos, but this bridge can also be connected to villages around the reservoir.
There is a classic building that looks quite beautiful, with beautiful carvings, and there are also several objects that decorate the building, this house is deliberately designed to beautify the atmosphere at the reservoir location, people can have fun taking pictures as they wish.
On the other hand there is also a place to relax which is provided for visitors who come directly to the reservoir location, people can relax both with friends and with family you love, while enjoying food and snacks with a beautiful natural panorama atmosphere.
If you are a coffee lover then you don't need to worry because here there is also a coffee shop, where everyone can order it according to what type of coffee you want to drink.
All day I walked around, around the reservoir area and felt a little tired but I also didn't waste the moment by taking some photos in every different angle.
Let's continue walking on the other side.
From a distance I saw that this reservoir was quite shabby and not well cared for at all, the entire surface of the water was covered with lotus flowers which were not at all beautiful to the eye, and it was also seen that the abandoned water vehicle was damaged without anyone taking care of it at all, it used to be a mini boat. This is used to relax in the reservoir.
During the pandemic, all employees who worked in the reservoir area had stopped, so the reservoir was not taken care of.
There are several ceramic steps which are often used as a place for selfies for young people who visit.
From a distance I saw two construction workers repairing several damaged buildings.
I'm sure when this covid is over everyone will come to relax in the jeulikat reservoir.
I also took some pictures of stone carvings that look quite beautiful, where in the picture you can see a teapot pouring coffee into a cup.
There are things that are done to beautify the location of the place.
My short trip today looked very enjoyable where I was able to take various picture moments in the reservoir location area, maybe I will come back again after the pandemic period is really over.
This is my short story today, I hope you are entertained by the display of pictures and published stories.
All images above are my personal property.

The red bridge is cool, the shape of it but what it makes even more special is the colour of it.
And that lovely building must have some purpose too. It is not there just for aesthetic reasons, right?
Thank you for visiting my post @mipiano
For the bridge image I did a little editing on the color, but I never changed the original color..
The architectural building is a replica of the traditional Acehnese house in ancient times which has high historical value.
Oh, ok, so it is a replica. Still, the traditional Acehnese house is beautiful. Those carvings are very very nice 👌
Thank you @mipiano hope you like it..
What a beautiful visit @ipolatjeh1988 the bridge is just great. And the classic house for taking photos.
I like the woodworks, the engravings.
To bad it had to close down during this pandemic. Places like this suffer…
During the pandemic, many people lost their jobs, especially in tourism places.
This classic house is a replica of an Acehnese house in the past.
Yes, I know… all around the world. Even where I live here in southern Spain, what is predominantly a tourist destination. It’s sad.
The house is beautiful, great that they made a replica to show visitors how it once was.
You understand very well about the historical value, I believe in every country has a high historical value, including in your country
Thank you 😊 not sure where my country is as I lived so far in 5 different ones. Never found a place that feels like “home” or that I say “I have my roots there”
Think I’m a wanderer… soon we move again. (Work related)
Hoping one day I find “my home”
a wonderful wednesday walk

Indeed, during the pandemic it felt very sad, many residents lost their source of economic income, especially from the tourism sector.
This location is very beautiful indeed.
Thank you @tattoodjay
sadly thats the case all around the world so many small businesses struggled and many failed ;(
It's true as you say, but after all we all have to live it..
Wow these are such a breathtaking views and sight to behold, Jeulikat reservoir is indeed a place to be, thanks for sharing your tour experience with us.
