Good weekend everyone, how are you? If you ask me, I'm fine, but it was a bit of a troubled day for me. If you ask "Why?", I had to sit in the dentist's chair today. In fact, the step I took today was one of the first steps of my long treatment. I plan to start braces treatment, which is a long and, difficult process. I hope my treatment will end soon🙏
Today, I had a dentist appointment to have a tooth extracted that needed to be extracted before the braces. A tooth in a very critical place was to be extracted. First, X-rays and necessary examinations were made, then my doctor made a spray and injection to numb it.
I can say that my mouth was completely numb until my throat. After waiting for a while, the doctor came and talked about possible complications. She said that if the tooth or its root is broken, it will be a bit of a struggle, and if the root of the tooth to be extracted is mixed with the roots of the surrounding teeth, there may be some trouble. This raised my fear a little more.
Then he started the procedure and after a minute she told me to bite a gauze that he put in my mouth and the doctor left me. I was a bit surprised and asked "Is it finished?" She told me that it was finished and that she could take it cleanly. I did not expect it to be so fast, but I was very happy that I had no problems.🌸
In fact, the nurses showed me my tooth by saying that I can look at it if I want, and I took a photo of my tooth. Although it was a bit strange, I wanted to share it here.
My tooth with a very long root was extracted very cleanly, I hope they will not do another extraction. After the extraction, she told me the necessary warnings and things I should pay attention to, for example, that I should remove the gauze after half an hour, that I could eat and drink after two hours, that I should not brush my teeth for twenty-four hours, that I should eat liquid food for three days.
What I didn't know before, and the new thing that the doctor advised me was that I shouldn't rinse the inside of my mouth and spit. Since one of my teeth has been removed, there is an open wound in my mouth and blood flow is normal, it should be swallowed and I should not do things like spitting, and I was very careful about this today. If you or those around you experience such a situation, please remember and remind this!
I took off the gauze after forty minutes and drank water after three hours and a warm soup after four hours. As I write these lines, it hurts from time to time, but not so much that I need to take medication. I think I will share my photos here when the wires are attached. But there is a little more for this process.

Boğazıma kadar komple uyuştu ağzım diyebilirim. Biraz bekledikten sonra doktor geldi ve olabilecek komplikasyonlardan bahsetti. Diş veya kökü kırılırsa biraz uğraşacağını, çekilecek dişin kökünün çevredeki dişlerin kökleriyle karışık halde olması durumunda biraz sıkıntı olabileceğini söyledi. Bu benim korkumu biraz daha yükseltti.
Sonra işleme başladı ve bir dakika geçmeden ağzıma koyduğu bir gazlı bezi ısırmamı söyledi ve doktor başımdan ayrıldı. Ben biraz şaşırdım. Ve "bitti mi?" diye sordum. Bana bittiğini, temiz bir şekilde alabildiğini söyledi. Bu kadar hızlı olacağını tahmin etmiyordum ama sorun yaşamadığıma çok sevindim.🌸

Kökü bayağı uzun olan dişim gayet temiz bir şekilde çekildi, umarım başka bir çekim daha yapmazlar. Çekimin ardından gerekli uyarıları ve dikkat etmem gereken şeyleri söyledi örneğin, ısırttığı gazlı bezi yarım saat sonra çıkartmamı, iki saat sonra yemek yiyip-içebileceğimi, yirmi dört saat diş fırçalamamamı, üç gün boyunca sıvı besinlerle beslenmem gerektiğini.
Benim daha önceden bilmediğim, ve doktorun bana tembih ettiğin yeni şey de şuydu, ağzımın içini sürekli çalkalayıp, tükürmemem gerektiği. Şu an bir dişim yerinden söküldüğü için, ağzımın içinde açık bir yara var ve haliyle kan akması normal bunun yutulması gerektiğinden tükürme gibi şeyleri yapmamam gerektiğinden bahsetti ve ben de bugün buna çok dikkat ettim. Ben kırk dakika sonra gazlı bezi çıkarttım ve üç saat sonra su içtim, dört saat sonra ılık bir çorba içtim, şu an bu satırları yazarken ara ara sızlıyor ama ilaç almamı gerektirecek kadar yüksek bir ağrı değil.
