Fanurópita, un postre griego para las fiestas de fin de año / Fanuropita, a Greek dessert for the end of the year holidays
Hello my friends! I want to show you this delicious Greek cake that I'm sure you will love. In my country of origin (Greece) it is usually prepared around these dates for the end of the year festivities.
Para la elaboración de la Fanurópita van a necesitar:
- 1/2 kg de harina de trigo todo uso
- 1 taza de aceite
- 1 taza (250 gr) de azúcar
- 1 cucharadita de bicarbonato
- 1 cucharadita de polvo de hornear
- 1 taza y media de jugo de naranja natural
- 200 gr de pasas negras
- 150 gr de nueces trituradas
- Ralladura de un limón (1 cucharadita)
- 1 cucharadita de canela en polvo
- Azúcar pulverizada
For the elaboration of the Fanuropita you will need:
- 1/2 kg of all-purpose wheat flour
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup (250 gr) of sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 and a half cups of natural orange juice
- 200 gr of black raisins
- 150 gr of crushed walnuts
- Zest of a lemon (1 teaspoon)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Powdered sugar
Preparación / Preparation
En un bol colocar el aceite y el azúcar y batir con un mezclador bien. Luego incorporar el jugo de naranja junto con el bicarbonato y la ralladura de limón y seguir mezclando.
In a bowl place the oil and sugar and beat well with a mixer. Then add the orange juice together with the bicarbonate and lemon zest and continue mixing.
Echar las pasas, las nueces y la canela mezclando muy bien esto.
Add the raisins, walnuts and cinnamon, mixing this very well.
Ahora mezclar la harina tamizada con el polvo de hornear e incorporarlo en la mezcla revolviendo bien hasta que quede una masa suave.
Now mix the sifted flour with the baking powder and incorporate it into the mixture, stirring well until a smooth dough is left.
Colocar esto en un molde mediano engrasado y hornear a temperatura media hasta que dore (unos 45 minutos). Al estar listo lo sacamos y espolvoreamos con el azúcar pulverizada, dejamos enfriar bien y ya podemos servir.
Place this in a greased medium mold and bake at medium heat until golden brown (about 45 minutes). When it is ready we take it out and sprinkle with the powdered sugar, let it cool well and we can serve.
Yo la sirvo con una bola de helado ¡y es riquísima!
I serve it with a scoop of ice cream, and it's delicious!
