Terrifying Moments - Episode 1

Hey Everyone,
I hope you are in good health. And If not don't worry. Worrying about stuff won't make you better.
(I need to working on my greeting I guess)
If someone were to ask me to describe one of my most terrifying childhood memories. It would be my encounter with the Ghost. We fear what we don’t know and there is a lot that we don’t know. That's when the imagination takes over. Imagination can be tricky, It can be as soothing as lying on a cloud or as terrifying as being able to sense the presence of evil.

When I was in 11th Standard there was an inter-school competition being organized by the state. Those days were different. The Govt school had good faculty and quality education. And my dad, who was a teacher always encouraged me to participate in such events. All this led to my enrollment in the competition. Luckily it was a team sport, so I convinced 4 of my friends to team up. And that's how avengers were born. Just kidding. If it was anything, It was 5 kids set up for epic failure. The competition was science-based, where we have to make a model which can demonstrate any industrial process. Since our goal was to check the box ‘participated in interschool competition’ and not win, we picked a flop idea. Glass Industry.

We were planning on demonstrating how the glass industry works. There is a furnace that will melt the silica, limestone, and other raw material. There will be a cooling center and finally a processing unit. That means we need to show 3 boxes connected with each other with labels ‘Furnace’, ‘Cooling center’, and ‘Processing Unit’ and our job is done. When we explained the idea to our science teacher complimented us, Or at least we thought it was a compliment. “Ah!! so you do have something to show, I thought you guys would bring charts.”

He advised us to add a few more details. 3Boxes with labels won't cut it. And as always he had to add the example of the A team, The first bench kids who for some reason were planning on building a small sonar model which can scope out the floor design up to a depth of 4mts. And we decided to add a few more details, A feeder, conveyor belt, and different types of glasses. We had the time of almost a week. And we planned well.
Day1- Buying all the necessary Items.
Day2- Setting up the structure.
Day3- Adding the details and wiring for the conveyor belt.
Day4- Painting and a few more details.
Day5- Mocking the Science teacher and A Team
Day6- Playing Cricket at the Ground.
Day7- Submitting the project along with others.

The only thing that was missing was Execution.
It was Day 6 and we 5 were standing at the parking space of the Ratna market scrapping our bags for money to buy the necessary items.

TO BE CONTINUED...

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for your love and support.
I am just trying to write, with no immediate goal in mind. And hoping to finish the story in a day or two.
Special thanks to my friends at IU and BeAwesome community.

Hahaha! That last part actually made me laugh ( and feel a little sorry for your guys ). You sound like The Ghostbusters but then without the ghost catching gear ;<)

Hahaha.
It seems funny. But I use to feel very stressed about all the silly things back then. LOL!!!
Homework, pop quizzes, and Surprise tests were the triple threat for me and the gang.
