Hive platform still need improvements
Hive is one of the best platforms I have ever seen. Decentralization is the thing I like most and it's a web 3.0 social platform. I have joined here more than 2 years and the Hive platform is getting better continuously with time. Each time developers are trying their best to make the platform better to best.

It says that development is a continuous and non-stop process and doesn't matter how much one develops, there will be more opportunities to develop. In the case of Hive, it's also the same. In my opinion, there are many things to develop on this platform and today I am going to discuss about the topic.
Instead of Hive is a web 3.0 platform most of the Hive events are dependent on Discord. Discord is a web 2.0 platform. Sometimes I feel bad to see that Hive users need to use Discord to engage Hive users. In fact, I use Discord only for Hive. I believe that that kind of engagement is not so beneficial for the Hive platform. Bringing the Discord facility into Hive can be a solution of it and in that case, all the engagement occurring in Discord will be shifted into Hive. I believe that that engagement will be much better for Hive. In fact, I think many people will be interested in using Hive also for that purpose like many people use Discord. Hive should be self-dependent and so bringing the discord feature in Hive is necessary. I know Peakd frontend brought such kind of feature but the hive users still not using it because it's slow. Besides three are missing many features that are available in Discord and it's the reason it still can't replace Discord till now. I think that feature should be available on every frontend and Discord should be fully replaced by Hive at least for Hive users.
There are many communities in Hive and each community might created for some purpose. Unfortunately, there is no organised system for community choosing. I am explaining. When we go to search for a community we can see many good community comes in a random basics. I think it would be better if there were options for choosing a community based on category. Some communities are for photography, some are for gaming, some are for daily life activities, some are for traveling, etc., etc. In my case, I love traveling and so in my case choosing a community, it will be very helpful for me. Finding a traveling-type community will make it easy to read and post my article. It may not create the difference for old users but it will be very helpful for newbies who don't know where to post their articles.
Bringing a live video option will be good in my opinion. So that many people can come to live. That feature will inspire many people to share their daily life live blog. Besides it will be very helpful for teaching anyone about any topic. And any kind of live discussion can occur.
I used to play a game named real cricket. There doing batting and bowling was a little bit difficult but it's time when I entered the game it used to show one or two tips to improve my gaming quality. It was a good strategy to improve gaming quality with time. I am saying this because the same idea can be applicable in Hive also. When we enter in Hive, then, it can show random tips related to how to improve the hiving experience. It may sound like a silly one but I am very much hopeful that it will be very beneficial for new users.
By the way, it's all about my opinion and I feel those things will be good for the hive platform if available. If you have some ideas, then you are also welcome to share.

I think your opinions about Hive are valid here. It would be nice to see the live feature. With that, I hope we can see a bunch of users - it would be too lonely to have a live event but no one watching, right?
Re discord - it’s not easy. And I think the chat feature here in peakd is still in the works of improving. It will be interesting to see it finally like discord though, but I think itchallenging so not in the near future.
The organization - like categories. That seems cool. There are tons of communities and sometimes just checking out its name and about us is kinda, hmm difficult to know right away what the community is about. In my case, I search, then if the community matches what I want, then that’s it.
Making available all features of Discord in Hive is not easy but it's not impossible also. I know it will take time but it's a feature hive need and I think and it will be better for the platform. I hope that feature will come as soon as possible.

OH I never thing about live video calls, This can be a good addition, it's not easy to meet with people who live in some other countries, but yes we can have a video call with them on hive. That would be a great addition if added. I will video call you for sure mate.

A live video features will definitely get cool and would definitely improve hive and grants us ability to host different space and interaction without needing to visit web 2 space.
Hmm. I feel that Hive should be available with all the demanding features in web 2.0. It will help to get the attention of others and bring more users into the hive platform.

I agree with you about an app here on Hive like Discord. We understand Peakd is still working on that version and hope it will have more features. It may take some time though.
Live video would be cool! If I remember correctly, InLeo is working on adding that on threads (not sure though, I might be mistaken hehe)
Let's hope to see these sooner.
I feel the feature like discord is important so that we don't need to depend on third party application. I hope it will come soon.
I also heard that InLeo is working on video options but it's may be shorts type if I am not wrong. 😅.. whatever, I am waiting for the feature.

It seemed it was mentioned that they will incorporate the 3Speak shorts on threads. We'll wait and see :)
Your ideas are very valid. I remembered when I joined I had some difficulty with some communities because my onboarder don't post in them. It's only with some of the community rules and reading other people's post was I able to find my way around. So I think some tips can also be helpful for newbies.

Wow... Infusing Discord into Hive would be mind blowing indeed! Hive would be like your one stop shop for everything you need from the blockchain! This is a beautiful idea!

When you think of it, it is true that hive has become more and more dependent on the use of discord in performing activities especially engagement. it has become a form of chat room for hive users. Before I joined hive I never knew about discord and presently I don't really engage in chat with users personally on discord apart from very few individuals I met during dreemport hymn marathon. Which means the only reason i joined discord is hive just like you.
These days any newbie that join hive and is not aware of the existence of discord, it might become really difficult gor such a person to make impacts in communities because we have a lot of communities that perform activities only known to those on their discord channel. For example roll dice game on hive learners.
So I believe it is a good idea for hive to have inner feature with discord attributes and it will also increase the rate of socialisation on hive platform
Sometimes as a newbie, you find yourself writing a content without knowing the appropriate community to publish it, it can be annoying sometimes to have to click on communities one by one to know the kind of content that are supported in the community, that wouldn't be the case if communities are categorised. It is really a good idea.
Even if the video doesn't pop up, it can be included in hive.faq so that new users will have access to videos that better explain how to navigate hive just like we have on #dreemport.

Indeed discord-type feature is needed in Hive and I feel it's not good to depend on another web 2.0 platform for the engagement of Hive users. Hive can be self-dependent and I think that should be.
In the case of the community feature, I feel it will be very helpful to find a suitable community to publish a post. especially for the newbies.
