Fear took the control

From my childhood time, I was a boy who naturally became afraid. When the other child used to play with different creatures/animals like parrots, hens, fish, cows, etc, I used to get afraid of those things. It's natural to feel afraid for some kids but for me, it was different because of my psychological issue the fear came to my mind. My fear was several X more than a normal child and it was abnormal. That thing made my parents worried and they consulted with a doctor. After several appointments, the doctor said that it was a psychological issue and it would be fine with growth but the doctor warned my parents to be concerned about not facing any frightening incident which might make the thing worse.

I started to grow up and it's true that my fear started to decrease. Although my fear was not fully disappeared I encountered a situation when I was in class 4 or class 5 ( I can't fully remember). It's true that I can't remember my class and age But I can't remember each moment of that day and I think I'll never forget it.

I was returning from my school and I had a cake in my hand. I was enjoying the cake very well and I almost came near my house and there I saw 2 dogs. I was not so much afraid of dogs and I dared to come in front of both dog. In fact, I need to cross both dogs to reach my home. For an unknown reason I was giving too much attention to the dog or I couldn't ignore it. Several times eye contact happened between the white dog and me and it seemed it was able to understand my fear and he barked once and I ignored it. And I crossed the dog and it didn't bark anymore. The dog was behind me and I dared see behind and I felt like I made a mistake because the p dog was looking at me with fierce eyes. Seeing that thing I became very afraid and started to run and the dog tried to chase me and bite me. It became very closer to my feet and I felt the breath of the dog but luckily I escaped from it. If I was one step slow then the dog might bite me. The incident increased the fear of dogs in my mind but another incident happened before I overcame the fear.
Getting fresh within 15 minutes I started to play with balls in our house ground alone. There was nothing to be afraid but all of a sudden I noticed another dog was approaching to nearby place of mine and after seeing me it started to bark and I understood it was also trying to chase me and bite me. The running speed of the dog became faster and because of a good distance, I managed to come home and close the door. The talk but for a little and then it left the place.

Within 20 minutes I encountered back-to-back incidents and it was enough to increase fear in my mind. It was the incident which created fear in my mind and I needed 5/6 years to overcome it.

Yes, for many it's normal but in my case the fear of mine was more than a normal kid and it was not normal.

Fear can be a very terrible thing. Talking about dogs, I grew up with a dog and so I thought I wasn't afraid of dogs but recently, I just realized that I am indeed terrified whenever dogs begin to bark for no reason.

Dog attacked me two times within 20 munites and it was enough to make me afraid of the dog. Naturally, I was not so brave and that kind of situation was enough to create mental trauma.

I can't even imagine being in your position cause I hate dogs to the core. I'm glad you were able to outrun the dogs if not , I wonder what would have happened. That again caused the fear in you to increase. Thank God you have overcome the trauma .

I was so much afraid that whenever I saw dogs I didn't dare to cross even on the road when I was alone. In fact, I used to use long-distance roads to avoid dogs. That's all about the past now and somehow I overcame it.

Dogs are always a danger, irresponsible people leave them on the street exposing passersby to a bite. Fortunately you emerged unscathed from your encounters with these animals and incidentally you overcame your fear.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

Good day.

I believe we all have our fears and the truth is when it comes to dogs there is nothing like adulthood. The larger the dog the scarier it is. After all we are all humans we are bound to be scared when frightened.
