Making a scrunchie for myself using a satin material πŸ’™πŸ’€πŸ’™πŸ’€

Hello my fellow needle workers, Happy weekend to you all🌺
How are you all doing? Hope you're all having a great and productive week
With too much excitement, I want to share with you the steps I used in making the scrunchie for my self using a left over satin material

For quite a long period of time now , the population of the users of scrunchie down here at where I stay is quite high, most persons do it in form of a crotchet and some others using cloth material and in normal cases , people use it as head band but recently people have choosed to use it on the wrist which is still pretty ❀️‍πŸ”₯ . Making the scrunchie for myself was for it to serve as a purpose of a head band and it turned out quite pretty. . .

Here are the materials I used in making this scrunchie:

  • Blue satin material
  • Half a cm elastic
  • Scissors βœ‚οΈβœ‚οΈ
  • Measuring Tape
  • Safety pin
  • Office pin

And these are the steps I used while making it :
My satin material didn't have the normal length I needed for the sewing so I had to cut and join , I used 12cm and 70cm respectively and then measured it on my material

To get a total of 70cm , I did some cut and joining, I cut it out and the used my sewing machine to join them together

To proceed, I then join the actual two edges together using my sewing machine

My material was now doubled , so I folded up the upper material And then joined the second one using my office pin just so I could prepare it for sewing

I then started sewing round, I kept pulling it out as I was sewing till I went round

When I got close to joining it together, I kept a space just so it will guide me when I want to pull out the front side of the material

At this point, I took my time and pulled it out and it gave me this

I then picked up my elastic and measured 12cm and cut it out

This was the point I made use of my safety pin , I inserted it into the edge of the elastic so that it will help me go round and then I used my office pin to hold the other edge so that it won't move , Continuously, I went all round

I then used my sewing machine to join the two edges of elastic together

That was the final step, I made the elastic go inside and the sealed the hole that was kept of which I arrived at the finished work

I wore my scrunchies with pride and of course I'm so excited because I finally got to wear it and what's giving me much pleasure is that I made it myself

I'm looking forward to making more of it with beautiful colors
Thank you so much everyone, for sparing your time to go through my post, I'm honestly grateful
Bye to you all❀️‍πŸ”₯🌺
