At the break of natural disasters, people tent to be unconscious at this point. I remember my sister when our house got fired in 2015, she was the eldest in the house my mom and dad weren't around, they were all gone to the family, this very incident was caused by Premium Motor Spirit (Petrol) that our neighbor bought to power his generator but we couldn't be able to tell how the whole stuff played but all we could hear was a loud shout, people were shouting, " Fire🔥 Fire 🔥 Fire 🔥" My elder sister was sleeping, as she was heard the shout, she rushed out and saw the fire, she immediately went into the room picked only a "broom" but I was able to grab my mom cloths box, off my clothes and my dad motorcycle which was a only means of survival out of the house. Thank God for the people in the neighborhood who came out of quench the fire and no life was lost. After the whole stuff has been quench and my sister was asked why she decided to took just a room from the house that got fired, she said she was unconscious when she saw houses on fire.

I must appreciate Hive Ghana for bringing discussion like it will help people to be conscious incase they face any natural disasters. There are three most important things I don't just joke with, and these are the box that contains all my documents, my devices and my wardrobe. In the scenario of fire breakout, priorities is based on personal circumstances, but my essential items which include my important documents, devices and valuables, is what I'll typically grab first.

Why do I have to grab the box that contains my important documents at first?

First, I will grab my important documents are contained in a box. Unlike my sister during fire breakout in 2015, all her documents in the university was a box placed at the corner in her room, but she left her important documents to grab broom. My documents are essential part of my life, especially my academic, certificates, my national identifications, insurance papers, and landed property agreements are very crucial for me.

Secondly, I'll grab my communication devices, I don't joke with my gadgets that's my phones and computers devices. my phone is an important part of my life as it contains contacts, addresses and serve as a key tool for communication and accessing information during and after the incident. Things are really expensive in my country right so it get them again is not that really easy and computer devices that's desktop computer, printer and laptop are my means of survival including my keychains, and all media entities are registered and stored there.They are my money minting machine so I'll be careful to grab them first.

The third thing that will come to my consciousness in case of natural disasters like fire breakout would be my wardrobe, I love fashion, I like my clothes just I took my mom's cloths box in 2015 when the house got fired, I'll grab those clothes in my wardrobe incase of any disaster. Already, we're experience money scarcity so there's no physical cash I would run after.

Although, natural disasters are dangerous which nobody can pray for, but it therefore called for a conscious effort to be able to know what to do when facing with one like first breakout. And its outcome is difficult to withstand.
