Nigeria has conducted mass burial at different occasions due to the terrorists group, Bandits group, and other insurgency groups causing different attacks and bombing of people and public gatherings which leads to massive killings.

Due to these mass killings and Destructions, the best way to evacuate the corpses from polluting the environment and some time, the whole family members are involved in the attack and no one is left to bury the corpses. The only way is for Nigerian Government to conduct mass burial for the deceased persons. There are many mass burials conducted in Nigeria over terrorists group attacks and it's no more news or new in Nigeria over the years now.

Nigerian Government conducted mass burial for Seventy-three (73) people who were killed in communal violence which happened between semi-nomadic herdsmen and farmers. It was a bloody conflict which leads to massive killings over fertile land that is taking on political significance. The clash caused man thousands of herdsmen of the Fulani ethnic group to flee, spreading desertification in the north. About 80,000 people flee due to herdmen attack in the state.

Another mass burial took place in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State in Nigeria that occur in a remote area of the state which leads to the tragic/massive killings of eighty-three people on 31st December 2019. This cause another mass burial making it the second highest mass burials in Nigeria. Lories were used to packed corpses in a Wave wreaths as coffins. It was a terrible experience in Benue State as many people with black clad the city of Makurdi.

Despite these these mass killings in Nigeria, as at that 2019 even till today, the Nigerian Politicians were still campaigning for their Political ambition of 2019 general elections in February 2019 just as what is happening today. They are after 2023 general election instead of finding a lasting solution to the insurgencies and bringing an end to this menace. Another tears visited the people of Borno state as suspected Boko Haram attacked famers on Saturday 29th November 2020 which leads to massive killings of 43 people in Zabarmari village. The people of the gather to conduct a mass burial for the departed in the rice-producing community located in Jere Local Government Area of Borno State who were slaughtered the previous day by Boko Haram group. The terrorists group attacked the farmers in a reprisal for the latter’s effrontery to disarm and arrest a gunman. About forty (40) rice farmers were beheaded while working on their farmlands in Borno state. The people of Borno state heaved the 43 corpses into nine mass graves after an Islamic funeral which was attended by many people.

Moreso, another mass burial was conducted for the 38 people who was slain by bandits terrorists group attack in Kaduna State. The 38 people was slain by Unknown Gunmen in Madami village in Kaura Local Government Area which took place at GSS Mallagum in Kaura Local government area of Kaduna State to pay last respects.

Another mass burial happened on 25th April, 2022 in Imo State due to the explosion of illegal refinery fire which claimed many lives. More than 110 people died in the illegal refinery explosion Victims Including a pregnant woman whose belly bust.
