[Week 134] Wellness is my priority

It's always good to end the year reflecting on so many aspects, so I felt attracted to answer the weekend challenge, which brings us this interesting question proposed by @galenkp .

Was there something you did in 2022 that positively changed your thoughts and attitudes and which you’ll carry forward into 2023? What is it and how will carrying it forward make 2023 a good, or better, year?

At one stage of my life, I was much more physically active, but as the years went by, I abandoned these activities and my life became too sedentary and with the pandemic this only got worse. Because of this, for some time now I have had the goal of starting to lead a much healthier lifestyle, but I was always putting it off, I think it was due in part to the fact that I tend to procrastinate.

So, when I saw the announcement of a new community on Hive called @reto-morphosis I didn't hesitate to sign up to participate, as I loved its proposal based on physical wellness.

The challenge consisted of, during a period of 3 months, starting a transformation process, in terms of food and exercise, to achieve optimal health as a result. In addition, an update process had to be carried out every 15 days to have a record of the progress of each participant.

That's how, with the firm conviction that belonging to @reto-morphosis would finally help me to give me that push I needed to leave aside unhealthy eating habits, I started my personal transformation. I started by improving my diet, trying to reduce that excess of carbohydrates and sweets I was consuming, to focus on preparing much healthier foods and with greater benefits for me, health.

I am a vegetarian, but I did not include almost no vegetables in my diet, so having changed this without a doubt I began to see the results. I feel much better both mentally and physically, I have noticed that my way of relating to food has improved, before I used to use it as a means by which I could drown my emotions, I even ate out of anxiety and as for my physical condition it was deficient, I got tired just by climbing some stairs.

Definitely, ending these last 3 months of the year, having finished with this challenge and starting next year following a new lifestyle, will generate in me great benefits, which are the following:

• It will allow me to keep moving and exercise will continue to be part of my daily routine.

• It will generate the necessary discipline to drive me to keep going for what I want without giving up.

• It will help me deal with the anxiety I sometimes feel, as it is a catalyst for anxiety.

• I will be able to continue doing one of my favorite hobbies that I have not done for years, which is climbing mountains and enjoying the beautiful majesty of nature.

• Spending some time doing things that help me achieve better health is key to moving forward.

• Eating healthier will make me have a lot more energy in my day-to-day life and I will be able to be someone who does things more efficiently.

• It will connect me with the importance of not giving up despite the difficulties, leading a healthy lifestyle is sometimes not easy, but with willpower and desire it can be done.

For all this I am sure that the year 2023 will be good, for me the biggest goal for this year is to continue working on what I need and give priority to my health, I am no longer as young as I would like hehehe and now I give more importance to health and wellness.
