[ Week 133] A gift for a wonderful friend

Loving someone also means wishing everything nice for that person and acting selflessly. That's why feel free to answer this awesome weekend challenge question brought to us by @galenkp

If you could gift only one thing to only one person, who would it be, what’s the gift, and why? (Your family are excluded from this answer). This gift doesn’t have to be something you buy – it could be something you make, or even something other than a physical gift.

Since I was 9 years old I have the joy of having Johana as a friend, one of the noblest people I know, who always wants the best for others without wishing it for herself, never speaks ill of anyone and is always trying to see the beautiful in people. In short, she is someone amazing willing to help others, to give more than she has and doesn't let things that are not going well in her life stop her from trying to make her beloved children happy.

She is my best friend, an extremely considerate person who has become my support during all these years of fraternal friendship, so I wouldn't think for a second about someone else to give her a gift, she really deserves it. The gift I would give her would be to buy her husband a plane ticket back to our country, since it has been about 4 years since her husband emigrated, looking for a better future for his family and himself.

But her husband Johan has not been doing well, I don't know if it is karma or if it has more to do with destiny, but since he left he has had to go from job to job, he has not been able to save enough to be able to send money to my friend Johana so she can travel and move with her children to the country where he is and because of COVID-19 his situation worsened even more, since he was unemployed for several months. I feel that if they could be together again, my friend would be happy and at peace, which she deserves, she would feel grateful and would have no doubt that between the two of them they would get ahead.

It is not easy to start again as an emigrant in another country and much more difficult if you are not given opportunities, for this reason my friend's husband has not been able to return to the country, since the salary he receives is not enough for anything and it is impossible for him to afford a ticket. Therefore, I know that if he could make it, not only my friend would be very happy, but also her beautiful children who have been growing up without him, for me the family unit is the basis and it is extremely important that children interact with their father, beyond a video call.

Today I had the opportunity to meet with my friend on this incredible Christmas day and just seeing how big the children are, I thought that the family must stay together, even when the conditions are not the most favorable, because then the ones who resent all that separation are the children.

I wish I could help my incredible friend more and fulfill that dream she longs for, because being able to reunite her family is the most fantastic gift.
