One of the weekly events in this #PukuMundo community is #singingvoice which has entered its 58th week. That means the Pukumundo Community is getting better and better. So, today, we are back again at the PukuConcurso LaVoz Cantante event for this week. The song we're playing today is a cover song called "I Fought The Law" written in 1958 by Sonny Curtis, who was a member of the band Crickets. Later in the 70s, The Clash popularized this song again.

I Fought The Law is a legendary song in the world of rock and punk music. I first heard this song when I was 15 years old on the radio. But, what I listened to was the Greenday version. Yes, Greenday also popularized this song in 2009. At first, I thought that this song belonged to Greenday, but I was wrong. This song has been around for a long time and has been performed by many famous rock and punk bands. But The Clash, a 70's punk band that is well known in England, are the ones most known for this song.

I loved the music and also the lyrics. When I read the lyrics, I assumed that this song was the story of someone who had been arrested by the police and jailed but still defied the law, and was even proud of his actions. It depicts the struggle of an individualist who dares to go against authority and the legal system, and that individualists will refuse to back down when faced with adversity. I love the lyrics in the chorus that contains the line "I fought the law and the law won". It's a punk rebellion line that challenges the norms and conventions of society.
