Silent blog from war zone: art in color

Hi, guys!

Yesterday I promised to show something new and, fortunately, today I have the opportunity to fulfill the promise. I redid my hand drawing assignment, and the first time I sent it to the teacher, I asked one additional question. The fact is that I have no big difficulties with building arms in space, there are no problems with the logic by which they are drawn. The problems start where you need to add color, and here are my main difficulties.

Maybe this is due to the fact that I painted faces much more often than hands, or full-length bodies, where the hands become a small detail on which you can only conditionally indicate light and shadow. And when it comes to drawing close-ups of hands, I have difficulties with the selection of colors. It would seem that they should be the same as on the face, but it turns out lifeless.

This time I experimented with adding pink shades:

@inber
It's great to draw with your own hands. The image in space is painting on your hand.
