How I overcame being bored.
Good afternoon everyone. How are you doing today? Hope you are all good.
Boredom simply means an indication that a current activity or situation isn't providing engagement or meaning—so that the person involved can hopefully shift their attention to something more fulfilling.
Boredom can also be seen as the feeling of being bored or not having interest what you're doing. Everyone experiences boredom sometimes. That feeling you have that nothing catches your interest, that everything's dull and not appealing to participate in, sums up the state of boredom.
This might be caused by the fact that you are stressed. Boredom can also come when one is used to one routine of either hearing or doing something. Boredom can do a lot to us. It can impact mental health, one's awareness or perception and behavior. Boredom has negative effects and positive effects. Positive in a way that though it's not too good for mental health, it helps the brain in a certain way.
Boredom can cause depression, anxiety, substance use, mood change, and increased risk-taking behavior. Boredom can also be good for the brain, because when you are bored, your mind might shift to think of other things that might be creative or a solution to a problem.
I'll be sharing my own experience of how I have been bored and how I overcame boredom. After secondary school, I thought I was going to work just like my sister after she graduated from secondary school. But my parents disagreed , mom said I had to be in the house so I could take care of the house, cook, clean and wash.
When my parents left to work, and my sister was not always around, she had just started schooling in the university, I was left with my grandparents. I was a young girl so I couldn't vibe with them. There was always electricity power, so I always watched my favorite tv shows but I became tired. I even opted for social media platforms to watch videos, chat and the rest but I soon became tired.
Just like I said boredom can be caused by being used to something or having to do it every time. I became bored, I was always sleeping so before I wake up my mom is back or probably my dad.
I started to gain weight, I couldn't do anything profitable.
But I said to my self that to overcome this I had to do what was going to make me happy and I started thinking of creative things to do. I watched DIY videos online and started trying new things on my own. My grandparents sometimes joined me and I am realized they were not how I thought them to be.
I started listening to other genres of music, gave more attention to studying my bible, read more books, met new friends and I even forgot about watching TV. I started to be the happy person I used to be. I now knew what to do anytime I got bored.

Boredom causes a lot of havoc, it's one moment I dispise so much in life. Humans naturally her tired of doing one time again and again . Well, am glad you found your way out of those boring moments. I also find reading helpful whenever I am bored
