DAY 3/4 - Menorca: More Than Just Beaches, A Culinary Adventure!!
Hello fellow travelers, who make up this beautiful community!
Today, I continue with my story about my vacation in Menorca. If you missed the previous episodes, go check them out on my profile! One thing I definitely learned from this experience in this beautiful part of Spain is that it's not just about natural beauty, but also about the culinary experience.
One of my big expectations when I arrived was to relax and fully immerse myself in the nature of this stunning sea. But on the third day, I also had some great culinary experiences in really interesting places that I think are worth sharing with you.
The first place I visited was the Ivette Beach Club. I have to thank my friend Carlo for finding this beautiful spot – he’s great at discovering these hidden gems. It’s a restaurant and cocktail bar located in Cala Morell, and as you can see from the photos I’ve shared, it offers a breathtaking view of the sea from its privileged position.
What also struck me was the stylish decor, with lovely tables and chairs, but the most important part was the flavor experience. Here, you can enjoy fresh seafood, grilled meats, the famous Tapas, and exclusive cocktails. I tried some of the seafood, which was incredibly fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to return to these places just for the seafood. I also got to enjoy the sunset, as it wasn’t a particularly busy day.
The next day, I moved on to Cala Pregonda. Another beautiful spot, with a much rockier beach and a reddish volcanic hue. In certain moments, it reminded me of some beaches in Fuerteventura, though the color there was a bit darker.
Naturally, I took the chance to relax, swim, and take a short walk nearby, where I stumbled upon a cow and explored the small village close by. The beauty of these places, aside from their natural charm and delicious food – and we all know Spain is great at this – is that they also have many unique and historical spots to discover. I’m not a huge history buff, but I’m sure there’s plenty to see and learn about this region’s past.
To wrap up the day, I had another experience that I think is a must if you visit Menorca – at least for those who aren’t teetotalers – and that’s visiting a winery. I went to a winery founded back in 2004, which has become a popular spot for wine lovers. We must remember that not only Italy produces great wine, but Spain makes some fantastic wines as well.
One thing I don’t see often in Italy is that this winery also has a restaurant. It gives visitors, like me on the guided tour, the chance to taste some excellent dishes. Of course, I enjoyed another fresh and delicious seafood meal here.
So, from my small experience, what I can recommend is that if you come to Menorca, don’t just come for the sea and beaches, but explore other experiences as well. There are well-curated places and, from my perspective, the overall experience was of high quality.
See you soon, friends, as I continue this story – though it's almost coming to an end. Have a great day, everyone!
