A Scenic Ride from San Benedetto Po to Modena
Hello, fellow travelers and sports enthusiasts,
Today, in this post, I want to share some photos I took during my bike ride yesterday, a rather tiring ride because I wasn't in the best shape. However, it was still enjoyable, and the effort was rewarded by the beautiful scenery I was fortunate enough to see during my ride.
I started from San Benedetto Po and took advantage of the bike path that runs along the embankment of the Secchia River, all the way to Modena. Unfortunately, the only downside is that, being a fairly gravelly path, some spots had overgrown grass due to the recent rains.
For this ride, I used a classic mountain bike with lightly treaded tires because I knew the route would be a mix of gravel and asphalt, making this type of tire ideal for the journey.
I passed by some interesting places, like the Abbey of Polirone, where I took a photo of the equestrian statue of Matilda of Canossa, a very important figure in these parts.
Then, when I got to Modena, I snapped a photo of a statue I stumbled upon in the square. It was of the great Pavarotti, who was born in this city in Emilia Romagna. I think cycling is fantastic because it gives you the opportunity to notice these hidden places and hidden treasures that you might otherwise miss due to speed.
I hope you enjoyed the photos, and I look forward to discovering more beautiful spots like these. I'm definitely planning another ride somewhere this weekend, but this passion is really catching on, so I'm going to keep at it while I'm still in good shape.
See you soon, folks. Catch you in my next post! Have a great life!
