Food is important, food is a necessary substance for growth and healthy living
Food is paramount
Good food equals good health
Sweet food equals a good mood
Favorite food equals satisfaction

There is this feeling of happiness and satisfaction you get when you eat your favorite food. The feelings come naturally because the food comes with satisfaction and a sweet taste, making the food unique and a favorite one

So many foods come with a sweet taste but few come with a unique sweet taste a type of taste you will always long for after eating, a type of taste you won't get tired of having, a type of taste that comes with satisfaction, a type of taste that lightens up the mood, a type of taste that makes up favorite

My local dish has one way of bringing all these tastes and feels to me, making me long for it more, making me appreciate it origin, and most importantly enjoy eating it

My favorite dish is a local dish with a unique taste that keeps me connected to my culture and origin
The thought of it makes me salivate and want to have it all the time because each time I have it comes with satisfaction

it's a type of food that requires a little bit of energy and stress to prepare
it's a starchy local type of food called swallow here in my country because it involves swallowing to eat

It provides the body with fiber, potassium, and vitamins for nutritional benefits
A type of food that involves processing(pounding) and a combination of vegetables

It's called pounded yam because it involves pounding, as easy as boiling yam can be so can be demanding when it comes to pounding

Pounded yam is a local food that has a unique taste and eaten with vegetables for a sweet taste*

The process involves the boiling of yam to be soft enough to pound then pounding is done continuously till no lumps are left and smooth enough to swallow
though there are machines to help pound and make the process easy but here in my country we just believe when you pound yourself with mortal and pestle you get the best-pounded yam

Then the final product is served with a vegetable soup

Pounded yam has a sweet and mouth-watering taste that I never get enough of whenever I have a taste it

it's my favorite of all because of its unique taste
