Mi Playlist: Majo & Dan [ESP/ENG]

Sigo compartiendo con ustedes mi Playlist por acá y para esta semana les quería presentar a este dúo de esposo jóvenes que me encantaron desde que los escuché por primera vez el año pasado y que entraron instantáneamente a mi reproducción musical diaria.
Majo & Dan han sabido cautivar a la audiencia con música llena de amor hacia Dios y eso lo pude notar al reproducir canción tras canción; son sumamente talentosos y llenos de mucho para dar a esta generación que tanto ansía música que restaure la adoración genuina. Hoy les comparto 5 de mis temas favoritos y además les dejo un Bonus Track que no se pueden perder.
I keep sharing with you my Playlist here and for this week I wanted to introduce you to this young husband and wife duo that I loved since I first heard them last year and that instantly entered my daily music playlist.
Majo & Dan have been able to captivate the audience with music full of love for God and I could tell that as I played song after song; they are extremely talented and full of so much to give to this generation that craves music that restores genuine worship. Today I share with you 5 of my favorite songs and a Bonus Track that you can't miss.
1) Te Deseo (2018):

Esta canción la escuché por primera vez en un mash-up a piano con el cantante español Marcos Vidal y esa versión me bastó para enamorarme del tema. Luego me dio curiosidad saber como seguía la canción y me encontré con una canción completa en todos los sentidos y hasta más.
Es una declaración de desear algo más, algo que no todos desean pero que si deberíamos desear todos, a Jesús en nuestras vidas. Creo que el tempo que progresivo va en aumento me encanta, el puente es increíble porque deja escuchar por momentos la voz casi en a_ capela_ de ambos por separado, a parte que líricamente es sumamente expresivo.
I heard this song for the first time in a piano mash-up with the Spanish singer Marcos Vidal and that version was enough to make me fall in love with the song. Then I was curious to know how the song continued and I found myself with a complete song in every way and even more.
It is a statement of desiring something more, something that not everyone desires but that we should all desire, Jesus in our lives. I think the progressive tempo is increasing and I love it, the bridge is incredible because it lets you hear at times the voice almost in a cappella of both separately, besides that lyrically it is extremely expressive.

2) Fiel (2023):

Estaba esperando desde que anunciaron que tendrían música nueva para este año a que estrenaran la música con la que nos bendecirían este año y cuando por fin lo hicieron, así se sintió, como una verdadera bendición.
El tema está liderado básicamente por Majo y aunque me encantan como dúo, he tenido la oportunidad de escuchlarlos más juntos que separados, en esta oportunidad Dan la acompaña como segunda voz y se escuchan increíble. Es una canción hermosa, sobre la fidelidad de Dios y es el recordatorio constante que debemos tener cuando pensamos en Él.
I've been waiting since they announced that they would have new music for this year for them to release the music they would bless us with this year and when they finally did, it felt like a true blessing.
The song is basically led by Majo and although I love them as a duo, I have had the opportunity to listen to them more together than separately, in this opportunity Dan accompanies her as a second voice and they sound amazing. It's a beautiful song, about God's faithfulness and it's the constant reminder we should have when we think of Him.

3) En La Sombra (2021):

Como les decía con el tema anterior de este Playlist, escucharlos cantar por separado pero estando juntos es increíble, porque aunque alguno de los 2 lidere alguna canción, el otro siempre está apoyando y eso es realmente genial. En esta oportunidad es Dan quien destaca en esta canción y se escucha increíble, su voz es bastante melódica y original.
Éste tema lo escuché por radio y siempre lo tarareaba pero nunca me percaté de que era él quien lo interpretaba hasta que decidí buscarlo un día y me llevé la sorpresa de que eran ellos quienes cantaban esta canción. Es una alabanza de confianza y seguridad de que Dios nunca nos abandona, que siempre está con nosotros y que bajo su sombra, podemos sentirnos más que seguros.
As I was telling you with the previous song of this Playlist, listening to them singing separately but being together is amazing, because even if one of them leads a song, the other one is always supporting and that's really great. This time it's Dan who stands out in this song and he sounds amazing, his voice is quite melodic and original.
I heard this song on the radio and I always hummed it but I never realized it was him performing it until I decided to look it up one day and I was surprised to find that it was them singing this song. It is a praise of trust and confidence that God never abandons us, that He is always with us and that under His shadow, we can feel more than safe.

4) Al Mirarte A Ti (2017):

Un tema que al oído suena bastante simple, guitarra, piano y batería pero que tiene tanta hermosura, no solo en su instrumentación y la voz de Majo que se luce en cada segundo de duración del tema, sino por lo que en la canción se puede sentir. Es una versión en español de un tema original de "Bethel Music".
Un tempo bien suave que te lleva a relajarte y escuchar bien en su letra y concentrarte en lo que hay detrás de cada palabra; creo que fue una de las canciones más bonitas que me pude encontrar cantada por ellos y aunque no fue de su autoría, siempre recordaré este tema en sus voces.
A song that to the ear sounds quite simple, guitar, piano and drums but has so much beauty, not only in its instrumentation and Majo's voice that shines in every second of the song, but for what you can feel in the song. It is a Spanish version of an original song by "Bethel Music ".
A very soft tempo that leads you to relax and listen to the lyrics and concentrate on what is behind each word; I think it was one of the most beautiful songs I could find sung by them and although it was not of their authorship, I will always remember this song in their voices.

5) Una Y Otra Vez (2019):

Si tengo una de canción diferente en mi Playlist que no se parece en nada a mis gustos musicales habituales, es esta. Es un tema bien interesante desde el punto de vista musical, rompe un poco lo que la gente puede creer que se trata la música cristiana y deja ver que también adorar puede ser divertido y energético, sin desviarse del centro de toda adoración, Dios.
Aunque es Dan quien toma la primera voz de esta canción, Majo en el video cumple un papel interesante y divertido, es algo diferente y me gusta haber descubierto esta canción y añadirla casi de inmediato a mi playlist de esta pareja de cantores.
If I have a different song in my Playlist that is nothing like my usual musical tastes, it is this one. It's a very interesting song from a musical point of view, it breaks a little bit what people may think Christian music is all about and lets you see that worship can also be fun and energetic, without deviating from the center of all worship, God.
Although it is Dan who takes the first voice of this song, Majo in the video plays an interesting and fun role, it is something different and I like to have discovered this song and add it almost immediately to my playlist of this couple of singers.

Este es el Bonus Track de esta serie de Playlist, que comencé el año pasado, que más me ha entusiasmado compartir. Es un mini concierto que engloba una variedad de temas pero en formato de sesión de estudio, con una atmósfera que emana de la pantalla (al menos así lo sentí yo) una presencia de paz y tranquilidad que solo Dios puede dar.
Si una de estas canciones quiero que realmente escuchen, no duden ni un momento en ver este Bonus Track, les aseguro que será una experiencia increíble, solo deben abrir su corazón y estar dispuestos a recibir lo que en este Tiempo de Esencia hay para dar.
This is the Bonus Track of this Playlist series, which I started last year, that I have been most excited to share. It's a mini concert that encompasses a variety of songs but in a studio session format, with an atmosphere that emanates from the screen (at least that's how I felt) a presence of peace and tranquility that only God can give.
