Hace unos 10 años que realicé esta propuesta para un popular juego online en Facebook llamado "Pet Society" (les adjunto un post que hice hace un tiempo sobre el juego, por si no lo conocían), la inspiración que tomé para diseñar esta semana en el año 2013 fue tomada de las películas de super héroes "X-MEN", todo esto diseñado con al estilo original del juego.

Todos estos diseños los hice inspirados en algunos de los personajes centrales de esta saga de películas que por mucho tiempo seguí y que quise plasmar a través de estos diseños en un juego divertido el cual por años jugué y conocí mucha gente increíble de todo el mundo.

About 10 years ago I made this proposal for a popular online game on Facebook called "Pet Society " (I'm attaching a post I made a while back about the game, in case you didn't know about it), the inspiration I took to design this week in 2013 was taken from the super hero movies "X-MEN", all this designed with the original style of the game.

All these designs were inspired by some of the central characters of this movie saga that I followed for a long time and that I wanted to capture through these designs in a fun game that for years I played and met many amazing people from all over the world.

Hay referencias de aspectos esenciales de las películas (y tal vez algunos de los comics) en los diseño que hice, inspirado en lo que ya existía en ellos, solo los adapté al estilo de diseño del juego y acorde a lo que quería integrar para que formara parte de la semana temática de los "X-MEN" al estilo Pet Society.

Todo lo que les presentaré aquí fue hecho en PhotoShop CS4, ese era el único programa con el que me sentía un tanto libre para hacer este trabajo y el que "mejor" sabía manejar en esos años (2013), tuve la ayuda, con respecto lo que funcionaba y lo que no, de una amiga; ella me ayudaba a elegir y decidirme que objetos debía involucrar y cuales no, fue de ayuda su opinión a la hora de seleccionar todo lo que iba a diseñar.

There are references to essential aspects of the movies (and maybe some of the comics) in the designs I made, inspired by what already existed in them, I just adapted them to the design style of the game and according to what I wanted to integrate to be part of the "X-MEN " themed week in Pet Society style.

Everything I will present here was made in PhotoShop CS4, that was the only program with which I felt somewhat free to do this work and the one that "better" I knew how to handle in those years (2013), I had the help, regarding what worked and what did not, of a friend; she helped me to choose and decide which objects I should involve and which not, her opinion was helpful when selecting everything I was going to design.

Lo que más me gustó de diseñar esta temática de "X-MEN" para un juego online popular, fueron los trajes de los personajes. Tuve que adentrarme en los detalles de cada uno de ellos y lograr adaptarlos correctamente al estilo de diseño del juego, me gusto mucho el resultado final y sin duda fueron mi trabajo favorito de hacer de todo lo que diseñé.

Irónicamente, también fueron los trajes de cada personaje lo que más me costó trabajo de todo lo que les presento en este post. Si bien quedé bastante contento con el trabajo final, me llevó mucho tiempo hacer cada uno de esos trajes ya que todos son diferentes y aunque con algunos tuve alguna que otra coincidencia, siempre había algo que alterar y ajustar al personaje que estaba inspirado dicho traje.

What I liked the most about designing this "X-MEN " theme for a popular online game, were the costumes of the characters. I had to go deep into the details of each one of them and manage to adapt them correctly to the design style of the game, I really liked the final result and without a doubt they were my favorite job to do of everything I designed.

Ironically, it was also the costumes of each character that took me the most work of all that I present in this post. While I was quite happy with the final work, it took me a long time to make each of these costumes because they are all different and although I had some overlap with some of them, there was always something to alter and adjust to the character that was inspired by that costume.

También entre los trabajos que más me gustó pero que igual me tomó bastante tiempo diseñar fueron las 2 habitaciones inspiradas en los "X-MEN"; la mansión de los mutantes y el cuarto de tormenta. Mi favorita fue la mansión, fue un trabajo arduo pero me gustó el resultado final.

También las ventanas inspiradas en la mansión me gustaron mucho y las quise incorporar en los diseños que quería hacer, aunque no son relevantes como elemento importante en las películas o comics (que nunca leí, por cierto), creo que le daban un toque diferente a todo el tema, a parte de que me gustó mucho hacerlos.

Also among the works that I liked the most but that still took me a lot of time to design were the 2 rooms inspired in the "X-MEN "; the mutants mansion and the storm room. My favorite was the mansion, it was hard work but I liked the final result.

I also really liked the mansion-inspired windows and wanted to incorporate them into the designs I wanted to do, even though they are not relevant as an important element in the movies or comics (which I never read, by the way), I think they gave a different touch to the whole theme, besides I really enjoyed doing them.

Incorporé también diseños que se apegaban más al juego que a la misma inspiración de las películas, para que también existieran elementos inspirados en los "X-MEN" pero que fueran funcionales y reconocibles por los jugadores del juego; pueden parecer irrelevantes para la temática, pero en realidad iba más dirigido a los jugadores.

"Pet Society" era básicamente un juego de cuidado y decoración de mascotas y sus casas, por eso la incorporación de items decorativos, inspirados en la temática de "X-MEN" que no tenían nada que ver con elementos existentes ni en las películas, ni la serie animada ni en los comics, como se los mencioné antes; acá les dejo los diseños de los que les hablo.

I also incorporated designs that were more attached to the game than to the inspiration of the movies themselves, so that there were also elements inspired by the "X-MEN" but that were functional and recognizable to the players of the game; they may seem irrelevant to the theme, but in reality it was more directed to the players.

"Pet Society" was basically a game of care and decoration of pets and their houses, that's why the incorporation of decorative items, inspired by the theme of "X-MEN" that had nothing to do with existing elements neither in the movies, the animated series nor in the comics, as I mentioned before; here I leave you the designs of which I speak to you.

Lamentablemente, perdí todos los archivos editables cuando mi computadora se averió y el disco duro, por lo que solo me quedaron algunos de los diseños que había postado en mis redes sociales y los que había presentado oficialmente a los desarrolladores del juego para que tomaran en cuenta estos diseños y pudieran ser incluidos en el juego.

Pero poco tiempo después de haberles presentado esta propuesta, los desarrolladores decidieron cerrar el juego, perdiendo yo la oportunidad de que mis diseños pudieran haber sido tomados en cuenta para ser incluidos en el juego, pero esto nunca pasó porque en Junio de ese mismo año, el juego cerró para siempre. Yo pude cumplir finalizando este trabajo de diseño y quedó para el recuerdo, por eso hoy quiero compartirlo con ustedes esperando que les guste.

Unfortunately, I lost all the editable files when my computer crashed and the hard drive, so I was left with only some of the designs I had posted on my social networks and the ones I had officially submitted to the game developers so that they would take these designs into consideration and they could be included in the game.

But shortly after I presented this proposal, the developers decided to close the game, losing the opportunity that my designs could have been taken into account to be included in the game, but this never happened because in June of that same year, the game closed forever. I was able to finish this design work and it remained for the memory, that's why today I want to share it with you hoping you like it.
