Alive & Thriving Dry Thursday : Strange Times 🤔 || AATYr5 || Slice of Life 😆
First off, happy #thankfulThursday 🙌 I'm happy to say we (the pets and I) were pretty safe despite the bed weather all day yesterday. I'm well aware that the government declared Metro Manila under state of calamity due to massive floods in some places (a lot of places actually). The building guard said that the street below remained flooded till two in the early morning. 😮 It didn't use to be that bad. Then I came across legislators who were commenting that the reclamation happening in Manila Bay was causing water flow to the sea to slow down. Thus, it results to more floods esp. in Manila and Pasay City. 🙄
Although some folks may not like it, I wish for more daily rain showers. Today was the exact opposite of yesterday. No rain at all. 😕 Such polar opposites indeed. Strange times I'd say. However, since it was mainly cloudy, I'm thankful it did not get too warm. Well, weekend is almost here. I'm treating myself to some cooling over the weekend. 😉
The garden will soon need some extra care. For today, I thought I'd feature this little plant I bought some three years back (yellow bougainvillea). I wanted a plant with yellow flowers mostly -- in memory of Mom. I repotted this tiny branch to a new egg pot I bought back then. It's still in the same pot. Here's how much it's grown...
Notice the blue arrow? That's now the bougainvillea plant. It's not as huge as I pictured it to be. 🤣 I suppose it takes a longer time to grow it into a big bushy plant (esp. since it's grown in a pot). But, I'm happy it has grown bigger than before. Glad I came by that old photo. It makes me happy to see some growth somehow. I suppose some things do take time. (That reminds me of how I grow on Hive as well. 😂)
It makes me wonder what weather will be like tomorrow. 🤔 Yes, on a daily basis, it's the only news report I watch and follow. I have pretty much detached from most local news (since the unithieves started running the government). At the rate we're going, I doubt the Philippines would attain much progress at all. 😒 Oh well...
I actively work on these affiliate sites. It's the remnant of the #LarryIsAlive contest that's no longer running. 😂 It helps me earn a little extra on the side. I seriously need more passive income.
