Jalebi/Jilapi - Local popular sweet snack from a roadside stall.

This is one of my favorite snacks. It's crispy and sweet in taste. I wouldn't say this is very flavourful as it's made out of only a few ingredients. But warm Jilapi is something else. It gives a very comfortable taste.

It comes in different shapes and sizes. But mostly in random circle shapes and medium in sizes. But in many places, the sellers add different colors, making it with sugar or jaggery to give it a different flavor. I have tried almost all the versions and it never lets me down.

I found a roadside stall near my house that sells Jilapi. We call it 'Jilapi' but in India, it's popular as 'Jalebi. Both are the same thing. Making this at home is very complicated so people usually buy them from shops. They fry the snacks first and then soak them in sugar syrup. Also, this snack is not highly available in all the places. So finding the stall was like a jackpot to me. The best thing is, it doesn't costs much. With only $1 you can have a handful of Jilapi like 4-5 pieces.

The stall was not very fancy, neat, and clean. But the jilapi was quite good. Worth trying.
