'Roti' from Bard Corner | Stall at Road Side
Due to its popularity, the Chef gotto nonstop making the 'roti'.
Very affordable price. No wonder so many people come here for breakfast.
Bard Corner is a humble small stall at the road side.
Super huge pot of lentil curry. Hmmm... Smells so good.
Some leftover packets of noodles and kuih, haven't sold out. If we came earlier, the whole table would be full of kuih-muih and small snacks.
Our super delicious 'roti telur' and lentil curry.
I bought one pack of pandan kuih, one pack of fried rice vermicelli and one pack of fried flat rice noodles.
All delicious. Yumsss!!!
It had been awhile I visited Bart Corner. I grew up loving 'roti canai', it is considered the number 1 most famous breakfast for fellow Malaysian, because it is tasty and filling and cheap.
Bart Corner is famous for its 'roti', an Indian flatbread made from flour. It is a humble shop situated right beside the road side, nothing fancy, you might even missed it if you did not know of its existence. I found out about this place after our babysitter informed us that this is one of the best 'roti' in town. Indeed, it is the best of the bestest. Therefore, it is always full packed of people. The business is always good. The person who is in charge of making the 'roti' literally had her hands non-stop flattening the dough, tossing it, flipping it.
I went there after a morning errand to pack two 'roti telur'.
Roti = the flatbread
Telur = egg
For your information, our national language is Malay. So 'roti telur' is in Malay, which is flatbread with eggs inside. Super yummy!!!
The price is still cheap considering the inflation, I guess they are for serving the community there besides being business-based. Then, I saw a few more packs of fried noodles left and felt like supporting the business, so I bought two packs; one is fried rice vermicelli, another one is fried flat rice noodle. I also bought a pandan kuih for my son as snack.
'Roti' is usually eaten together with a dipping sauce called 'dhal' which is lentil curry. Oh my, they had a super huge pot of lentil curry. Their lentil curry is always so delicious, I could drink the whole bowl too.

Those foods look delicious.. What is that one with green color? A pudding?
Not entirely pudding. Similar but more densed in bite and texture and less bouncy. This one is some sort of 'kuih talam', top layer is using screwpine juice, bottom layer using 'red sugar'. Not suitable for people with diabetes. We also eat minimally. :)
