AI Doing More Harm Than Good

Yesterday on the news, I saw a story about writers in the US on strike after their request to increase their wages was declined. Now all TV shows have stopped airing and are repeating most of their episode, shows like The Late Night Show has stopped airing new episode due to the strike, and these writers also feel threatened that they could be replaced by AI soon and that is why they are laying out their demands to secure their jobs in the long run.

AI has already begun to show how it will damage human lives soon and this is one of the reasons why Hive has put a rule against creating AI-generated posts in the blockchain. People will become lazy to create original content and rely on AI to make content so they can keep earning in the blockchain, which won't be fair for under users who have been working harder every day to post their original content and build their reputation in the blockchain.

This writer's actions are justified and I am on their side, they need to tackle this issue early and agree with whoever is in charge to disqualify and ban AI-generated scripts in the industry for the safety of other writers. It won’t be easy but these steps made might go a long way for this writer and I am happy they came out early to express their concern on the arising issue.

Recently the UK planned to invest heavily in AI and this might be alarming for its citizens. The UK citizens workers have a thing about going on strike because they feel they are not being treated well by their government and for the government to plan on investing in it and claim it will create more jobs opportunity sounds fishy to me, It could be the other way round and people may start losing their jobs.

Some companies in the US are already laying off workers and replacing them with robots so that they can cut down on paying wages and increase their profit. AI is gradually replacing humans in some positions, this should be a wake-up call, and before we know it AI and robots might be running businesses and jobs meant for people.
