En la vida debemos actuar para que las cosas pasen, nada se hace por sí solo. Esto lo aprendí de mis padres, recuerdo una anécdota no muy agradable, pero tiene mucho que ver con esta iniciativa, creo que tendría yo unos 12 o 13 años. Una mañana de un fin de semana, a tempranas horas, se escuchaban gritos de un mujer y también golpes como si estuvieran destruyendo una casa. Lanzaban piedras y se podría escuchar cómo se rompían los vidrios. En cada golpe que le propiciaban a la casa, la mujer dueña de la casa gritaba “Ay Dios mío, mi casa”.

En la vida, desde lo más sencillo hasta lo más complejo es necesario actuar para que las cosas sucedan. No hace mucho, luego de posponer por varios meses la reparación de mi licuadora, al fin lo hice. Lo pospuse porque tuve que incurrir en gastos médicos, pero también me invadía la apatía de cargar con la licuadora, caminar, el peso, etc.

Hace algunos años, me sucedió algo con un gatito, mientras estaba en el porche de mi casa, un gatito bebé, como de 2 meses, maullaba y cuando me vio, vino corriendo y se metió a mi casa. Tenía la cara cortada, la piel le colgaba pero no sangraba y estaba todo sucio, era agua de cloaca. Yo lo bañé, le puse comida y contacté a una fundación para que lo ayudaran con la herida de su carita.

En el año 2016, se acentuó la crisis en Venezuela con una terrible escasez y la inflación dejó corto nuestros salarios. Fue la época donde se pudo ver la desmejora física de mucha gente, yo llegué a perder 15 kilos.

Algunas veces comía una vez al día, a veces dos y en cantidades pírricas. Añoraba un pan con margarina y queso, una taza de leche y una galleta. No podía comprarlos porque no me alcanzaba el dinero y la carestía hacía sus estragos. Así transcurrieron tres años, porque en el 2019 llegó una chispita de luz a mi vida y hoy es mi gran rayo de sol.
Sometimes he ate once a day, sometimes twice a day and in pyrrhic quantities. I longed for a loaf of bread with margarine and cheese, a cup of milk and a cookie. I couldn't buy them because I couldn't afford them and the famine was raging. That's how three years went by, because in 2019 a spark of light came into my life and today it is my great ray of sunshine.
Un compañero de trabajo con quien tengo amistad se me acercó y me preguntó que tal redactaba yo. Le respondí que lo hacía bien, él me hizo una prueba que felizmente aprobé y me propuso redactar unos artículos de varias temáticas, entre ellas, salud, químicos y cocina. El trabajo fue recibido a conformidad y gracias a ello obtuve una buena paga por ello. No fue fácil, eran 7 artículos de 1500 palabras cada uno para entregarlos en una semana. No solo se trataba de redactar, había que editar imágenes en Photoshop, usar compresores de imágenes, utilizar Wordpress y nada de esos programas sabía yo. Esa semana tuve que almacenar mucha información y aplicarla porque el trabajo tenía fecha de entrega y muy limitada. Esa semana fue estresante para mí y me acosté muy tarde, después de la 01:00 am.
A co-worker with whom I am friends approached me and asked me how I was at writing. I answered that I was good, he gave me a test that I happily passed and proposed me to write some articles on various topics, including health, chemicals and cooking. The work was well received and thanks to that I got a good pay for it. It was not easy, there were 7 articles of 1500 words each to be delivered in a week. It was not only about writing, I had to edit images in Photoshop, use image compressors, use Wordpress and I didn't know anything about those programs. That week I had to store a lot of information and apply it because the work had a deadline and it was very limited. That week was stressful for me and I went to bed very late, after 01:00 am.

Cada cierto tiempo, este amigo me asignaba trabajos, no obstante, a veces no había, yo dependía de él. A raíz de ello, me exhortó a inscribirme en el foro donde él encontró el trabajo de redactor. No lo hice enseguida, pues no soy muy buena en el tema informático, además, en ese tiempo ocurrieron unos apagones en varios estados y había que hacer una serie de actividades que me parecieron tediosas para ingresar a la sección de negocios. Sin embargo, era el requisito, de no ser así, no podía avanzar. El tiempo apremiaba y la crisis también, sentía que ya no podía, estaba muy apática. No obstante, el estado crítico de mi economía me dio fuerzas y me decidí a cumplir con el requisito. Me llevó más de una semana, pero al fin pude comenzar a buscar trabajo.

Le escribí a muchas personas, de verdad estaba desesperada, a veces no tenía nada que comer. Hasta que el día menos pensado, alguien me escribió a mi WhatsAap y omitió la prueba gratis, me contrató.

I wrote to many people, I was really desperate, sometimes I had nothing to eat. Until the day I least expected, someone wrote to my WhatsAap and omitted the free trial, he hired me.
Desde ese día todo cambió para mí, ser redactor es mi otro ingreso y gracias a esto hoy tengo una mejor calidad de vida.
Since that day everything changed for me, being a copywriter is my other income and thanks to this I now have a better quality of life.

Leer y revivir retazos de esa vida en esos años fue inmediato, qué difícil situación y gracias a que insististe lograste mejorar tu economía, creo que no podemos olvidar lo vivido y reconocer que la perseverancia tuvo sus frutos.
La situación país ha logrado sacar de nosotros eso que no sabíamos que teníamos.
