Greetings dear friends of Movies and TV Shows, it has been a long time since I visited you, and those who read my publications know that I watch little TV, that is why this review that I bring you is a movie that is already a few years old, it dates from 2005. I found this children's film very good, with some interesting ingredients, I confess that I never thought of reviewing it. Nor did I see it recently enough to say that enjoying it recently inspired me to write. This film deals with life issues, key elements such as happiness, money and family.
Charlie and the chocolate factory is about a boy who lives with his family, they are very poor and in town a golden opportunity presents itself, a contest to visit the most famous chocolate factory in town, its owner, Mr. Willy Wonka (Johnny Deep). The plot centers on Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore), who as I had already mentioned, is very poor, but aspires to live a magical dream, to eat the best chocolate and spend a day in a factory that holds great and wonderful secrets to produce the best chocolate in the world. Charile wants to win one of the five coupons available, as well as enjoy that delicious treat. However, lack of money prevented him from buying several bars to try his luck and have a better chance of being a happy winner.

The days went by and the winners were being announced, Charlie had no hope, the other boys had economic resources and looked to be great promises. Charlie only had his family and great desires to win that great prize that for him meant glory, well, it really would be for any child. With a stroke of luck, Charlie gets the 5th and last coupon, and so when the big day arrives, he embarks on a great adventure, a very particular tour in the chocolate factory, a place full of extraordinary and amazing surprises.
Money and happiness
In my opinion, the film deals in an extreme way with wealth and poverty, and how happy we can be if we have money or not. In a simple analysis of life we have asked ourselves questions such as, is money synonymous with happiness, what is more important, love or money, and not only that, let's not forget the phrase “money is not everything in life”. The other 4 children who visited the factory with Charlie were well off, and let's not forget Willy Wonka, who built a huge emporium, a lot of money that he had no one to share it with. However, let's focus on Charlie, he was a very poor child, who had nothing to wear and could barely feed himself, while Wonka earned more and more money, while remembering in the shadows how sad his childhood was.
Answering those questions about money and happiness, they are two very different things. Money only serves to buy things, the tangible, while happiness is a state of mind that can depend on many things, tangible and non-tangible. It is true that solving things with money gives us happiness or gives us a sense of wellbeing, as when we buy medicine if we get sick, or when we buy something from the market or simply enjoy a whim. Of course, not everything has to do with money, you can be happy to see an old friend again, to take a walk or simply contemplate a beautiful sunset. “We can find happiness in the simplest things in life.”.
If money doesn't bring happiness....imagine misery
I read that sentence a long time ago, but going back to the movie, in Charlie's family there was sadness in the air, they had nothing to eat and much less could they please the child to buy the chocolate bars. The only one they had bought did not come with a prize and to top it off, it was a sacrifice to share it, only one square for each of them. It was a united family, with a lot of love, but discouragement reigned because they could not “solve things”, those things that only money can do. In fact, to complete the picture, Charlie's father was fired, so “that day we had to add more water to the soup”.
On the other hand, in Willy Wonka's life everything was different, he was a man with a lot of money, but lonely, who longed with all his strength to have a family. In flashback we could see that he had a hard childhood and a strict father who mistreated him. However, Wonka was not poor in his childhood years, but he was very unhappy, lacked affection and always felt alone. Over the years, Wonka took refuge in money and never forgot his hard childhood.
My final reflections
As a final reflection, in a world that is not free, money is needed to buy things, the tangible. You can buy company, but never affection, you can buy medicine, but never health. Wonka could have been poor and feel equally sad and lonely because of the bad treatment he received from his father. Happiness, on the other hand, is a state of mind that is connected to everything around us and depends on us. This movie is very funny, with sobering messages and a beautiful ending, I recommend it. Saludos estimados amigos de Movies and TV Shows, tiempo si visitarlos, y es que, quienes leen mis publicaciones saben que veo poco TV, es por ello que esta reseña que les traigo a continuación es una película que ya tiene algunos añitos, data del 2005. Este film infantil me pareció muy bueno, con algunos ingredientes interesantes, les confieso que no pensé nunca en hacerle una reseña. Tampoco lo vi hace poco como para decir que disfrutarlo recientemente me inspiró a escribir. Esta película aborda temas de la vida, elementos claves como la felicidad, el dinero y la familia.
Charlie y la fábrica de chocolate trata sobre un niño que vive con su familia, ellos son muy pobres y en el pueblo se presenta una oportunidad de oro, un concurso para visitar la fábrica de chocolate más famosa de la ciudad, su dueño, el señor Willy Wonka (Johnny Deep). La trama se centra en Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore), que como ya había mencionado, es muy pobre, pero aspira a vivir un mágico sueño, comer el mejor chocolate y pasar un día en una fábrica que guarda grandes y maravillosos secretos para producir el mejor chocolate del mundo. Charile quiere ganar uno de los cinco cupones disponibles, además de disfrutar de esa deliciosa golosina. Sin embargo, la falta de dinero le impedía comprar varias barras para probar suerte y tener mayores posibilidades de ser un feliz ganador.

Los días fueron pasando y los ganadores iban siendo anunciados, Charlie no tenía esperanzas, los otros chicos tenían recursos económicos y pintaban ser grandes promesas. Charlie solo tenía a su familia y grandes deseos de ganar aquel semejante premio que para él significaba la gloria, bueno, realmente lo sería para cualquier niño. Con un golpe de suerte, Charlie consigue el 5to y último cupón, y es así cuando llega el gran día, se embarca en una gran aventura, un recorrido muy particular en la fábrica de chocolate, un lugar repleto de extraordinarias y asombrosas sorpresas.
El dinero y la felicidad
En la película se abordan de manera extrema, a mi parecer, la riqueza y la pobreza, y que tan felices podemos ser si tenemos o no dinero. En una análisis simple de la vida nos hemos hecho preguntas como, el dinero es sinónimo de felicidad?, que es más importante, el amor o el dinero?, y no solo eso, no olvidemos la frase “el dinero no lo es todo en la vida”. Los otros 4 niños que visitaron la fábrica con Charlie tenían buena posición económica, y, no olvidemos a Willy Wonka, quien construyó un gran emporio, mucho dinero que no tenía con quien compartirlo. No obstante, centrémonos en Charlie, era un niño muy pobre, que no tenía como vestirse y podía alimentarse a duras penas, mientras que Wonka, ganaba cada vez más y más dinero, al tiempo que recordaba entre sombras lo triste que fue su infancia.
Respondiendo aquellas preguntas sobre el dinero y la felicidad, son dos cosas muy distintas. El dinero solo sirve para comprar cosas, lo tangible, mientras que la felicidad es un estado de ánimo que puede depender de muchas cosas, tangibles y no tangibles. Es cierto que solventar cosas con dinero nos da felicidad o nos produce una sensación de bienestar, como cuando compramos una medicina si nos enfermamos, hacer comprar del mercado o simplemente disfrutar de un capricho. Eso sí, no todo tiene que ver con el dinero, se puede ser feliz al ver de nuevo a un viejo amigo, al dar un paseo o sencillamente contemplar un bello atardecer. “Podemos encontrar la felicidad en las cosas más simples de la vida."
Si el dinero no da la felicidad….imagínate la miseria
Esa frase la leí hace tiempo, pero volviendo a la película, en el núcleo familiar de Charlie se respiraba tristeza, no tenían que comer y mucho menos podían complacer al niño para comprar las barras de chocolate. La única que habían comprado no vino premiada y para colmo, fue un sacrificio compartirla, solo un cuadrito para cada uno. Era una familia unida, con mucho amor, pero reinaba el desánimo al no poder “resolver cosas”, esas, que solo puede hacer el dinero. De hecho, para completar el cuadro, al papá de Charlie lo despidieron, así que “tocó ese día echarle más agua a la sopa."
En cambio, en la vida de Willy Wonka todo era diferente, era un hombre con mucho dinero, pero solitario, que anhelaba con todas sus fuerzas tener una familia. Entre flashback podíamos ver que tuvo una infancia dura y un padre estricto que le propinó malos tratos. Sin embargo, Wonka no fue pobre en sus años de infancia, pero sí muy infeliz, le faltó afecto y siempre se sintió solo. Con los años, Wonka se refugió en el dinero y nunca olvidó su dura infancia.
Mis reflexiones finales
Como reflexión final, en un mundo que no es gratis el dinero hace falta para comprar cosas, lo tangible. Puedes comprar compañía, pero nunca afecto, puedes comprar medicinas, pero nunca salud. Wonka pudo haber sido pobre y sentirse igualmente triste y solo por los malos tratos que recibió de su padre. Por su parte, la felicidad es un estado de ánimo que se conecta con todo lo que nos rodea y depende de nosotros. Esta película es muy divertida, con aleccionadores mensajes y un hermoso final, se las recomiendo. Que opinan del dinero y la felicidad?, ahí se las dejo.

I didn't mind this one but for me it was nowhere near as good as the original.

The original has Gene Wilder has Wonka and it's worth a watch if you get the chance.
I've watched this film several times, and to be honest, I find this film weird. Maybe because some of the scenes are eerie and unrealistic. For instance, the small people who works at Wonka's chocolate factory.
But not until now, after reading your review, I realized that this film offers valuable life lessons. I might watch this movie again!
