Piano Progress on video | Month 6 | Creep

I feel like at all of a sudden the pieces of the part of playing piano are coming together in my brain. Learning these types of things take time, and I guess is what I gave it. It feels like playing and reading the sheets is getting easier, and that is exactly what I was hoping for.

The focus of this week is extending the scale from G to now D and G scale. It means that that with my right hand all of a sudden it is capable of playing about 30 keys, and the cool thing is...I actually capable of reading the sheet music from all of this as well. Before it took a lot of time to even read it, and I must admit that is going easier than before. Winning!

I don’t like Radiohead to say for the least, and I would almost always try to ditch the option from listening it if I could, but…I must say, I like playing their songs. And also with a lot of sharps and flat in the left hand rhythm, as well as sharps and flats in the right hand melody initially this felt like an extremely challenging song. But it wasn’t. It was easier to learn and play than I had actually expected.

And more fun than I had expected as well. What a surprise. As you can hear in the bridge – guitar part there is some error in there, but the majority of the song I am actually quite satisfied with what I have produced here.

I am still trying to do the three way practice. The Simply Piano app breaks down a song in multiple parts and lets you practice it from scratch. After putting it all together and doing a song a couple of times with the keys passing my by as in the video underneath, then fortunately there is also an sheetmusic without guiding music and metronome to actually practice the keys.

For me it works best to do all of these steps, and work through them to actually get the technical progress. Step by step, and months 6 is not disappointing me!
