MarketFriday - A Beach Market.
A friend and I went to the nearby town of Ramsgate, on the south coast of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Once there, we came across one of this beach markets.
Unemployment in South Africa is very high, so almost on every beach you get these vendors that are trying to make a living.
They sell a variety of goods, like, beachwear, swimming costumes, hats, bodyboards, beach bags, jewelry etc. There clientele are mostly holidaymakers.
It's a colourful affair, and are definitely attracting the attention of the holidaymakers. As locals we have seen a lot of these markets and we normally try to stay clear of them. The vendors can be quite persistent in their efforts to convince you to buy something.
On this particular day my friend and I was just spending time together, so we enjoyed browsing the stalls.
Being on the beach is a bonus and helps to just create a relaxed atmosphere.
Hope you enjoyed my market.
Thank you for reading.

You are back! ❤️ It is always good to see you posting! I have to agree that unemployment makes things tough, but, the insistent nature of some of the vendors makes me stay away from most of them. It is especially bad when there are people on holiday there.
It is hard to say they are wrong, I am not in their position, would I be like that if I had no money for the food that day? I have to think I might, so as much as it annoys me, I will usually buy something and say a prayer that I was spared living this way. This was a great post and truly love seeing you here at #MarketFriday!
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you for your in-depth comment. Yes, I have also asked myself sort off that question? I went a bit further and asked myself if I would not also steal if I have hungry kids?
Thank you for posting the rules again. Will check on that before I do a market Friday post again. Hope I can get to more markets.
Thank you for Market Friday. 🌹
