Home Education Curation Collection. Happy Easter! 9th April 2023
Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! Happy weekend to those who don't. It wasn't a busy week in the community again, but all the activity was quality as always. I hope you enjoy the highlights.
First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:
• @nubra11
• @romeskie
• @missleray
• @leomarylm
Getting cyber smart might not be something you'd think of as high on the list for home education, but knowing how much we use internet and social media now, it makes sense to make sure our children learn about the potential scams on there. Recently @sumatranate made what he considered a silly mistake when connecting with what he thought was an old friend on Facebook, but he went along with it for a bit and shares with us some great examples of how scammers work to con you into giving them what they want.
Moving back to more traditional education topics, @yessi08 brings us a clever little contraption you can make to help with learning fractions. It's simple, yet effective.
As always, @missdeli brings us a wonderful activity for little minds and hands. This time it's an animal sorting activity to help them with learning about and recognising which animals are active at night or in the day.
I've been seeing a lot of clever ideas in the community for multiplication practice lately. It's always a great idea to make what can be a tough or boring subject area more captivating. This week I'd like to highlight this one from @emmaris which uses pegs and a small tray to interact with times tables.
I always love to see @ryivhnn's updates, because it's a great example of how you can continue to homeschool into the teen years. This is an age where many homeschooling parents worry they may not be capable enough to continue to teach their children, most likely because this is when they begin to prepare for high school exams and certificates of education.
Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @qwerrie as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
