Home Education Curation Collection. 6th November 2021
Welcome back to the curation roundup! I hope you enjoy what we've got today, if you haven't already seen them all. We've certainly got some clever, and I have to say cute, kids learning from home!
First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:
• @afterglow
• @missdonna
• @arrliinn
• @mildredwg
We often use the line, “monkey see, monkey do” when it comes to children, because they learn so much through observation, imitation and immersion. Recently, @romeskie’s little one got an introduction to crypto in the form of joining mum in a webinar event. Finance has always been an important topic and with the world looking destined to move into crypto, it's certainly a good idea to start the discussion early.
Learning doesn't always go smoothly, yet it's when we make mistakes that we often learn the most. I loved this candid post on baking cookies from @melbourneswest and his Little Miss. The great thing is that the event was led by Little Miss and she was honing lots of her skills in science and literacy as they went along. I think she may also have learnt something on resilience as well. I'm sure those cookies tasted great both before and after cooking too.great
@mildredwg’s little one has been learning about lungs. This little project looks like great fun from start to finish. A real hands on way of learning that is great for youngsters.
@queenart has been at it again, creating more beautiful decorations for Diwali! This talented girl always impresses me, not just in her creations, but in how she demonstrates making them in an easy to follow way which allows viewers to learn to make them too.
@danhyelita24 had a visit from an adorable little cousin who saw his big cousin doing homework and naturally wanted to join in the fun and do some himself. Of course his attention span wasn't the longest, so they got inventive and provided more fun learning activities to help him keep pace. It can be a challenge to juggle learning with different ages and attention spans in the home, but I think they did a great job in this regard.
Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @unschool as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
