Home Education Curation Collection. 4th May 2024
Because there hasn't been a large variety of people interacting in the community these last few months I've decided to double the beneficiary for the two selected. I don't know if people have all just been as busy as the community admins lately, if so, extra thank yous go to those who have made the time to keep the community buzzing.
First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:
Recently @romeskie and her daughter have been busy with exams. These homeschooling exams are certainly different from the traditional school exams many of us know. In true homeschooling fashion they have been moving more towards a child led approach even here and young Aya recorded her oral presentation herself.
Again we see child led education from @arrliinn as her children choose which books they do or don't want to read. In this case it was an awareness of the level of gruesomeness in some of our older classic tales which put her young reader off.
@Ingridontheroad popped back in to the community this week with some ideas for learning projects. This one is for a plastic versus paper waste debate, but I can also recommend a look at her more recent one on happiness.
From @nubra11 comes a fun game to help with literacy, in particular building sentences. This is a beautifully detailed post covering the topic well.
@Taliakerch gives a good case for keeping old educational toys to revive again later. She has brought out some old toys her son lost interest in a few years ago and he has found a renewed interest in them, even gaining new insights and understanding from them.
Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @qwerrie as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
