Home Education Curation Collection. 3rd February 2024
It's been quieter in the community the last two weeks and only a few have been regularly posting. So you might find some older posts in this curation.
First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:
I was nodding as I read @romeskie's post about keeping our little learners interested. It's very easy for children to stop enjoying learning, then become hard to teach if things become too repetitive, complex or boring. Have you ever experienced that with your own learners? Romeskie found the Charlotte Mason method worked well for her daughter to continue her love of learning, what has worked for you?
@taliakerch has shared a few posts with us recently, but I can only choose the one, so I guess it had to be a science experiment one. 😁 Hopefully it's the right time of year for you to be able to have a go at these fun mandarin experiments.
Another fun learning idea came from @emmaris. This is an activity to help with counting, observation and motor skills, via a colouring activity.
I enjoyed reading @leomarylm's post on what her daughters have been doing at home for assignments set by school.
I'll finish up with this fun game of three in a row from @zonaescolar which is Splinterlands themed! It made me smile to see that fun touch to this classic game, but even more, I loved how it's been created as a game to keep with its own little bag. If your learners are old or advanced enough they could even help to make this themselves.
Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @justinparke as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
