Home Education Curation Collection. 19th November 2023
It's been a wonderfully active week in the community and there are so many posts I wanted to share, but not enough space. I also just hit the wrong button and posted instead of adding beneficiaries, so I'll be sending Hive out to all the mentions instead. I hope you enjoy this week's shares.
First our usual thank you everyone who makes this community what it is. This week 5% beneficiaries for interaction and contribution to the HomeEdders community go to:
• @nathy33
• @eumelysm
• @missdeli
Do you use your local library much for learning resources? If so, what is it like? I'm always impressed when @arrliinn shows us how much there is to do at the library in Abu Dhabi, which currently has an interactive cultural activity going until March next year
It won't be long now until we will be starting the countdown to Christmas and this week @eumelysm brought us a lovely Christmas decoration idea to create which will help develop fine motor control skills. What a bonus that something so pretty can be created from old toilet rolls!
I'm sure you've heard of the food pyramid which aims to teach healthy eating patterns. As we've learnt more about foods and healthy eating this has evolved from the very simplistic version that first started out. I enjoyed seeing this new take on it from @yessi08 of a food spinning top, whereby the children could learn about food groups and where to place them.
This week @missdeli expressed the joys of what we sometimes jokingly call the homeschool uniform; comfy pyjamas. It's amazing how much learning gets done when your uniform is this comfortable! I don't even know where to start with all the activities they got through, so I'll just say, "see for yourselves!"
@taliakerch did an incredible science experiment with her son this week. I'm still not sure I understand how it works, but it looks like it must have been pretty amazing to do. Have you ever done the fire snake experiment? This is my first time seeing it.
Thank you for joining us. This curation was brought to you by @minismallholding and this week I have added @crosheille as 10% beneficiary for the ongoing delegation support. Thank you!
