My Hive Introduction

To join a platform or community as a new user requires proper identification, with this, I must do the same on Hive, identifying who I am to all on the platform. I will be writing my introduction post telling you about myself. Thanks to @dave-estates, a fellow Nigerian who I met and guided me on how to join this platform, his effort in the process is worthy of appreciation.

My Introduction

I go by the name Olatorera Florence which you can see to have a bit of correlation with the username I chose. I am from Nigeria and I have been in Nigeria all my life which means all my education has been in this country. I hailed from a family of 3, the family that includes two girls and a boy, who is the last born. I am the eldest of the family of these three.

My Education

I have attained education up to the tertiary level. After the basic education, I attended high school which took about 6 years. In the last year of my high school days which is the sixth year, I was made the Library prefect and one of the things that qualified me for it is the love I have for reading books and writing as I grow.

After my high school education, I attended the College of Health Technology where I studied Medical Laboratory Technology for 3 years. And that is the state of my education for the time being.

My Career

I graduated in 2017 and I have worked in two different establishments within that period and now. My first job was in early 2018 where I worked as the Head Technician in a medical laboratory and I was active with my work during that time. By December 2018, I got another offer in a bigger private laboratory in the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital as one of the technicians in the firm.

My journey in my last job lasted for 3 good years which ended in December 2021 when I resigned so that I can restrategize on how to further my education to the degree level which would help me to acquire more knowledge in my field. For the time being, I've not gotten admitted into any university yet but I am working towards that as soon as possible.

Interests

I have many things that I can call my interests and some of them are; reading, writing, working (lab work), traveling, helping people, meeting new friends, and more. I love reading a lot and in that, I write summaries of whatever I've read after each session, this is one of those things that helped me to score good grades throughout my entire education attained.

Bottomline

It's so precious to write a post that identifies me on Hive and in summary, @holatoorera is from Nigeria, hailed from a family of 3 and she loves reading and writing, and more as included in the post. I am grateful to @dave-estates for telling me about Hive and teaching me some things I need to know. Thank you @indayclara for helping me realize the reason I should write my introduction post as I begin my journey on Hive and I hope this post is done to satisfaction.
