For a long time, I have not been able to submit content related to cultivation on this platform. As I was more busy in terms of duties, I did not get to pay attention to the cultivation of the garden. However, today being a Sunday, we got a chance to reach my mother-in-law's house. You may remember that I showed you about the crops in the garden earlier. But today we see some cultivars with slight differences. The special feature that can be seen in the cultivation in her garden is that no chemical fertilizers are used. Therefore, the family has the opportunity to get the necessary vegetables to prepare a fresh and healthy meal. She has the dedication needed to maintain those plantations well.

Growing green chillies is a rewarding experience for us as they are a popular ingredient in many dishes and can add spice and flavor to a variety of dishes.These are grown using composted manure. Also, diseases such as aphids, caterpillars or fungal infections can be found in green chili plants, so regular monitoring is important.

Sesbania is a leguminous tree. It is known as Scissor Moringa in Sri Lanka. It mainly eats flowers and leaves. Also, its leaves are more nutritious and can be added to a balanced diet. Also, the flowers here are also added to the food in various ways. I have planted this tree and it is still a small tree.

Okra plant, also known as lady's finger or bindi. This is known as cold food. Also a highly nutritious vegetable. Okra plants thrive in well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Include compost or well-rotted manure to improve soil fertility and structure.

Cassava is a starchy root vegetable. Cassava can be propagated from stem cuttings. It grows in any hard soil. Its process takes place by becoming a root tuber. This is a popular vegetable in Sri Lanka. It takes 3-5 months to get its fruit.

Eggplant is also known as a popular vegetable in every country. Here are some common varieties of eggplant. It takes considerable time to harvest eggplant. I add compost for this purpose. This plant needs good ventilation. See it in the pictures below.
