Hello Nature Lovers !

I would like to cordially invite you to another great week of the Amazing Nature Contest. There were already so many excellent entries regarding how amazing nature is in the past episodes, thanks to all of you, but there is still so much more to see! ^^ To participate in the #amazingnature contest just write up a post and explain how amazing nature is for you personally ^^

What is the Purpose of the Contest ?

I am a huge nature-lover and really enjoy taking pictures of all the lovely things that surround me every day, no matter if plants, animals or landscapes. Hive is a brilliant place to watch these while simultaneously reading and learning about nature from all over the world. There is such a diversity of great content, thanks to all of you, from different perspectives and out of various motivations. This contest attempts to collect all those beautiful snapshots and their amazing stories in a weekly compilation so that you all can benefit from the beauty that we are facing all the time, but so often are not able to appreciate in the modern and fast paced times we are living in.

#amazingnature is at home in the DNA-Discord, a organization run by people for the people, with the aim to foster and densify nature-appreciation in the blockchain. DNA is also the home of the #aquaticsentinels, the #featheredfriends, the @fungilovers and the #insectsoftheworld communities.

Contest Rules :

• POST your entry INTO the AMAZING NATURE COMMUNITY. You can also use the #amazingnature TAG if you like to ^^
• CLEARLY MENTION that your post is an ENTRY for this contest.
• All pictures have to be your own. You can use the amazing nature banner if you like or create your own.
• STATE IN THE TEXT why those pictures are representing YOUR AMAZING NATURE. This is an ESSENTIAL part of this contest; 400 words minimum (per language) !
• Drop the LINK to your post IN THE COMMENTS. You can add a picture if you like. It is NECESSARY as I have to post a link in Discord on Friday, 5 days later for voting and also for my own compiling purposes.
• The entry window is open for ~ 5 DAYS. Watch out for the -CLOSED in the title.

If you miss the entry, please wait for the next round. As I have to work and also to manage a family there are no fixed UTC times.The window can open in a wide range between 10 am - 10 pm and also close accordingly ^^

• The AMAZING NATURE COMMUNITY is there FOR ALL POSTS ABOUT THE AMAZING NATURE AROUND YOU. We would highly appreciate it if you share your great nature content there with us! .. The contest is located there as an integrated part and special community feature ^^ It also features the Amazing Nature Challenge with weekly changing topic (@bucipuci) and various Curation Reports (@nelinoeva, @redheadpei, @jlufer, @oscurity) !

Possible Topics :

As nature covers an incredible wide range there is really anything possible. Amazing Natures categories could be anything from the following topics:

• Botany
• Zoology
• Geology
• Landscapes
• Philosophy
• ... Surprise us ^^

Prizes to Win :

• 1st : 1 HBD
• 2st : 0.5 HBD
• 3st : 0.25 HBD

I will present all participants in the entries section of the announcement posts that will be published roughly one week later on Sunday (depending on my time schedule this may shift ^^). This way you will have a nice compilation of them all. The number of winning places is adaptable and differs by the number of participants to keep a 50% winner limit (1 to 3 - one place, 4 to 6 - two places, 6 or more - full podium). As an special feature, the new title picture will be created from the entry of the contest winner. This time it is from @ipul27.

How are the Winners chosen ?

The voting on the winners will be done by the whole DNA community. Therefore we created a special contest channel in the DNA Discord (Amazing Nature Contest). Here I will post the announcement post including the winners (Announcements) EACH SUNDAY together with all your entries (Entries) EACH FRIDAY. Every member of DNA will be able to assign "voting emojis" under the entries for 24 HOURS. In the end those three with the most are the lucky winners. I will engage as a judge in case of a draw ^^

THIS WEEKS WINNERS

The winner of last contest round was chosen to be @ipul27 with his entry about the Moss Plants in the rain forest in Indonesia. The amount of rain and the humidity is quite high in this area and thus several types of plants grow very fertile here, including moss plant of course, which require a lot of water. In his post we get sew many nice pictures, from all distances and perspectives and are provided with with good information about moss too ^^ Thank you very much for this amazing contribution to the contest ;)

The entry from @olgavita reminds us in a very nice way that the beauty of nature can be found just everywhere, even in cities and urban areas. One just has to take a closer look to its surroundings. In her post she shows us many great examples of highly versatile and useful plants that all have benefits, if one knows how to apply them. They can be found all around ^^ .. Thanks for this thoughtful entry ;)

The entry from @antikus369 is dedicated to the forest, which is is a huge fan of as we all know from his previous posts. This time we get to see the beginning of autumn that is detectable everywhere, stating with small color changes of leaves at bushes and trees, up to the appearance of mushroom and fungi that can be find everywhere at this time of the year ^^ Thank you for this great dedication to the forest ;)
