Splinterlands Brawl Report - 12/10/2021 #HivePizza #BrawlReport

Good morning, good evening wherever you may be!

Here is my fourth #brawlreport as part of the @hive.pizza B team. They call us The Deep Dish.

I was part of fray #4, Novice League, Alpha/Beta.

My strategy was to continue using my gladiator cards combined with the new Chaos Legion cards. No rentals again especially now that Peakmonster is acting wonky. It's been logging me off, and it sucks up resource credits like a mofo lol. I like that they are working on a bunch of improvements but it seems like the developers are in over their heads. We will see. Jury is still out on whether the overall user experience has improved much. Fingers crossed. Anyway below are our results.

As a team, we got worked this time around. I am assuming everyone was getting adjusted to the new cards and what not. We came in fifth place over all.

Soon hopefully next campaign will do a better job. And now that we have a full roster, maybe we can start filling in the gold foil format. I did my part one time by renting a Gold Foil summoner and doing battle. Maybe someone can do the same. Lesss go! lol

On a personal level, not sure what happened, but at least for this go round the Alpha/Beta rule set got discontinued. When I went in for combat, all of the sudden I was not on the battle list. I was like wtf, what happened? I enrolled, lets do battle lol.

Thankfully, I was rewarded with merit points for participating. So I know I wasn't imagining things. This is good because I'm one step closer to getting some more gladiator cards.

For those interested, below I will review my merits, and outline the Gladius pack purchasing process.

Gladius Packs

Balance history

image.png

As you can see for this brawl I got 415 merits for participating. Looks like we average around 450 merits per brawl. We usually finish at around 3rd place so it takes about 5 frays in order to reach 2000 merits. Which is the amount I need for a Gladius pack. One more fray and I'm there. Lesss go!

So for those that are new, once you are in a guild, you start earning merits for brawl participation. Once you reach 2000, you are then able to purchase gladiator cards. However, your guild's "barracks" need to be leveled up to level 2.

Once, your guild/team has enough gladiator cards, batlle becomes so much easier and much more fun.

Where do you buy, Gladius cases? Go to shop and then click the Guild icon. Once there, pay with merits and you're good to go!

With that said, below, I leave you with a quick vid, showcasing some of the new Chaos Legion cards. This battle showcases the Life splinter.

This was fun. Even though I didn't have any battles to review for you I hope my brief review of how and where to purchase Gladitor cards was helpful.

Lots of changes for this brawl with the card set changes that occurred after Chaos Legion released. Also, we were up against three Top 100 guilds in this brawl so the competition was exceptionally fierce!
