"THE FIGHT FOR COFFEE"

Many times we cannot let ourselves be carried away by political fanaticism, the left won in my country, we have a president whose curriculum is deficient, he did not have a university degree and that is why he underestimates professionals so much, he is handled like a puppet in a theater, but he was the candidate to be followed by those who manage votes by cheating.

Venezuelans had already gone through many things, especially the crazy inflation of the last years, I remember clearly when on September 16 on national radio and television the dictator who is president said: "there will be few products that will be taken out of the supermarkets, not because he wants to, but so that our people get more money and improve their health", they were pure phrases disguised to enamor, but everyone knew what was behind them?

To everyone's surprise one of those products was coffee, yes, that beverage with which a Venezuelan identifies himself, when getting up a coffee, when leaving the house a coffee, a good conversation is accompanied by a coffee and in the houses of the Venezuelans the visit is received with a coffee aroma.

The government had already taken so much from us, that my thoughts were that nothing was going to happen, but how wrong I was, and it turns out that coffee hurts many people.

At the beginning it was the desperation to buy what was left in the supermarkets, but the current president made it more difficult, and the fact is that in the different supermarkets in order to buy what was left of the product, the purchases were to be made by the last personal identification number, that is to say, on Mondays it was the turn of those whose identification ended in numbers 1 and 2 to buy, on Tuesdays in numbers 2 and 3, on Wednesdays 4 and 5 and so on, following the order throughout the week, on Saturdays and Sundays there was no sale of coffee for anyone.

The desperation of the people was incredible, all the members of the houses went out to buy coffee when it was their turn, but this did not last long, they began to sell artisan coffee as for example, roasted coffee (it was a corn flour league with a little bit of coffee) really the taste was horrible, this crisis brought out the bad in Venezuelans, they began to put indescribable products to those artisan coffees in order to be able to sell them.

In Venezuela it is no longer possible to make peaceful protests, since the police and the military attack people, but this did not stop those grandparents who needed their coffee in the morning and in the afternoon, they were joined by those students who go to bed late and get up early to pass their exams, without leaving aside the doctors who make repeated guards to save lives, and so an endless number of people.

The dictator had already given the order to close the different coffee companies, everyone knew that behind this radical measure there was a background and it was that the people's coffee was going to be used to traffic different illicit substances to other countries.

For the first time in Venezuela everyone was in agreement, so much so that the media and social networks had this news trending, it was too much for the government, we were really trending worldwide, they could not take it anymore, this measure lasted only 5 months, the closed coffee companies opened their doors, the grandfathers and grandmothers are calmer, you already have your coffee at home, the students now study until later and get up earlier, the doctors continue doing their shifts without sleep and me, I am enjoying my coffee while I tell you this story.

Good evening, a great greeting dear friend, it was very interesting to read the vision under which you developed your narrative, which unfortunately had much truth in the reality that our country lived that short time. A hug.

Any resemblance to reality is pure coincidence hahaha.
I like how you mention all the coffee consumers and the contribution it brings to them.
And yes, Venezuelans always welcome visitors with a tasty freshly brewed coffee.
