The Bay of Juan Griego - Margarita Island

The town of juan griego is located northeast of the island of margarita, this place has historical importance for the island for being the protagonist of one of the most important battles of Venezuela in the colonial era.

But today I want to show some pictures of its beach, the sky, the sand and the sea were too tempting to take a bath.

Everything was blue this day, the water crystal clear and the sun shining.

The coconut palms were the refuge for some people from the radiant sun, the waves were soft and quiet, practically unheard.

In the distance, the boats could be seen taking a well-deserved rest before the next day's work.

The beach is made of fine sand and snail shells.

The port of Juan Griego was also important for the island's commerce, and was the port through which Simon Bolivar arrived to the island of Margarita.

The clouds covered with their shadow the mountain in front of the Fortín de la Caranta guarding all these vessels.
