LOH #151: IF I WERE THE LOH JUDGE, WHAT WOULD BE MY QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK

Hello hivers, we are celebrating the 3rd anniversary of the #ladiesofhive community 💃💃💃.Hence,this week's contest affords ladies the opportunity to answer from a subjective point of view.

2️⃣ If you were the LOH judge this week, what TWO questions would you ask?

The #ladiesofhive Community has been a great influence in the hive blockchain on matters concerning the women affairs globally. One day, a friend was asking jokingly if the was a community for men of hive, we laughed about it but it was worthy of a thought. Seeing that the team of the ladies of hive Community have over time death with matters that affect women in terms of gender inequality, family, motherhood, discrimination, segregation, domestic violence, love, work, body shaming and so many more.

The community has inspired women by these weekly prompts to be proud of themselves and live their lives to the fullest void of negativity. Hence, I am glad that in this week's prompt that makes our anniversary, we have the opportunity to project two topics we would like to be addressed.

TOPICS INCLUDE :

  • HOW DO YOU AS WOMEN DEAL WITH BODY SHAMING AND Negative MOCKERY OF YOUR BODILY IMPERFECTIONS.

Some women are victims of body shaming and this has affected them either negatively or positively. Negatively in the sense that, some cannot handle it and it leads to depression and possibly suicide, and positively because some women have taken body shaming in a positive light to work on themselves. I would like to know people's experiences with this topic because no matter how we are, we are still victims, be it that we are slim, fat, short, tall, huge, manly voice, small boobs, big boobs, big ass, small ass etc.

  • AS A MOTHER, ARE YOU GENDER BAISED ON WHAT ORDER TO GIVE BIRTH TO YOUR CHILDREN?
    Yeah, I would to know people's opinion especially mothers on if they are gender BAISED when it comes to giving birth, do they want a female child first or a male child. Because in my country, some archaic culture belief that a man should have a male Child first or have Atleast one male child.

So, if I were an LOH judge this week, those are the possible questions I will propose.

Wow friend.
These are wonderful questions.
It's something we face daily in the society.

Just this evening while I was taking my evening walk.
I was walking behind two guys talking about a girl(yes, body shaming her).
I was angry and at the same time not so bothered about it.

I was like I wish my gender won't let these talk get into them, though it's bad.

The only time i will be worried about body shaming is when it has health implications on me, then i will work towards making it better.
That's for my health, not for any other person that judge through physical appearance.

As for the second question.
Though the world is changing.
But in my tribe Igbo, it's still in the bloodline of grading children by their gender.

You stand firm in your marriage only when you give birth to a male child.

Deep questions @henrietta27 many religious and traditionalist notions the way they are, this would inevitably open a can of worms, but it is necessary to address the false perception of women seen as less valuable in contributing to their respective cultures and families.
