El bloque 5 tenía un lado que daba hacia el callejón Peniche, y abajo no tenía columnas como la mayoría de los bloques que tienen tiendas en sus pasillos, por el contrario había como oficinas y ahí funcionaba el Seguro Social, también había un par de paradas de carritos "por puesto" (que llevaban una sola vía y a varios pasajeros. En todo el frente de nuestro apartamento estaba el edificio Peniche y en el primer piso quedaba un instituto de mecanografía y taquigrafía, siempre se escuchaba el tecleo de las máquinas de escribir y el timbre que sonaba cada hora. En ese callejón que está donde se encuentra la Esquina de Angelitos también había una Fuente de Soda y la famosa peluquería "Pippo".

In that alley where the corner of Angelitos is located there was also a Soda Fountain and the famous hairdresser "Pippo".

Con ésto solo quiero que vean que ahí había constantemente mucho movimiento de personas, así que al principio vendíamos una buena cantidad de rosas, pero como dije anteriormente, Mayra era un personaje muy peculiar y un tanto dificil. Así, poco a poco la venta de las rosas fue decayendo y el ánimo de Mayra también.
