The Return!/ El regreso (ENG & ESP)

We returned again to hive this beautiful community where I started writing, to tell my day to day experiences, mechanics and many things more of which it had been a long time since I wrote something and what better than to return to create post talking about cycling!

Volvimos nuevamente a hive esta hermosa comunidad donde comencé a escribir, para contar mi día a día experiencias, mecánica y muchas cosas mas de las cuales ya habia pasado mucho tiempo que no escribía algo y que mejor que volver a crear post hablando de ciclismo!

I don't know why the last post I have is from the beginning of 2024, but it doesn't matter, many things have changed, most of them in my cycling for the better.

No se por que lo ultimo que tengo es desde comienzo desde 2024, pero no importa, muchas cosas han cambiado, la mayoría en mi ciclismo para mejor.

I have gone through many bikes until I got to this gw Hawk 2024 that you can see which started as a frame that I put together with parts from another bike that I will tell you about later.

Por muchas bicicletas he pasado hasta llegar ha esta gw Hawk 2024 que pueden apreciar la cual comenzó como un marco que arme con piezas de otra bicicleta que mas adelante en otro ocasión les contare.

At the beginning some problems with the seat tube arose because it was too short and that caused me problems because of my height and besides that this bike is size “S” somewhat small but perfect for what I want because my intention is to build a ratty bike capable of being very agile in XC circuits.

Al principio algunos problemas con el tubo de asiento surgieron ya que era muy corto y eso me causaba problemas por mi altura ya que aparte de eso esta bicicleta es talla "S" algo pequeña pero perfecta para lo que quiero ya que mi intensión es armar una bicicleta ratonera capaz de ser muy ágil en circuitos de XC

First outing was pretty good I only had one point against which was the seatpost and not being the length I need I got carbon which to be honest has a very low weight but has other complications which if you do not take care of them in time is complicated, as it needs a good clamp to work properly and a fibrous anti-slip grease to work smoothly because if not this is constantly lowered and is a big waste of time having to be going back up the seat tube.

Primera salida fue bastante buena solamente tuve un ponto en contra la cual fue la tija y al no ser del largo que necesito obtuve de carbono la cual para ser sincero tiene un muy bajo peso pero tiene otras complicaciones las cuales si no las atiendes a tiempo es complicado, como que necesita de una buena abrazadera para funcionar correctamente y una grasa fibrosa anti deslizamiento para funcionar sin problemas por que si no esta se baja constantemente y es una gran perdida de tiempo tener que estar volviendo a subir el tubo del sillín.

One of the pieces that have really marked a before and after in my mountain bike journey is undoubtedly the air fork, because the smoothness in demanding terrain is something that has no explanation, it is simply fascinating.

Una de las piezas las cuales de verdad han marcado un antes y después en mi camino por las bicis de montaña es sin lugar a dudas la horquilla de aire, ya que la suavidad en los terrenos exigentes es algo que no tiene una explicación, es simplemente fascinante.

My bike has been 100% operational for a few weeks now, but is still subject to many improvements and changes either for comfort or for better performance.

Ya Hace unas semanas que mi bicicleta esta 100% operativa aun sujeta a muchas mejoras y cambios ya sea por comodidad o para tener mejor rendimiento.

For a size S it is surprising how comfortable and agile it is because its steering angle and its short wheelbase make it perfect to ride comfortably for a long time.

Para ser talla S es sorprende lo cómoda que es ademas de lo ágil ya que su angulo de dirección tan lanzado y su poca distacia entre ejes la hace perfecta para ir cómodo durante mucho tiempo.

Without any complaints so far, it is necessary to gradually add more improvements as soon I will be changing the rear derailleur for a better one of much better quality to improve my rides since the rear derailleur that I currently have is low range and has caused me one or two problems when entering demanding terrain.

Sin ninguna queja hasta ahora falta poco a poco ir colocando mas mejoras como pronto estaré cambiando el cambio trasero por uno mejor de mucha mas calidad para mejorar mis rodadas ya que el cambio trasero que traigo actualmente es gama baja y me ha ocasionado uno que otro problema a la hora de entrar en terrenos exigentes.

There is still a long way to go and more to tell but if there is one thing I can assure you is that so far I am doing quite well with the assembly of this bike which I hope will continue to be and continue to become the most agile, light and versatile bike since it is custom built to my taste, I hope you like this return of content and I hope to see you here when I come back with the advances and modifications that are coming!

Aun hay mucho por delante y mas que contar pero si de algo les puedo asegurar es que hasta ahora voy bastante bien con el armado de esta bicicleta la cual espero siga siendo y se siga convirtiendo en la bicicleta mas ágil liviana y polivalente ya que esta construida a medida a mi gusto, espero que este regreso de contenido te allá gustado y espero volver a verte aca cuando vuelva con los nos avances y modificaciones que vienen!
