The Ice Cream Bar
It is now 10PM in the night and I just got back from a random hangout with a mentor friend, her husband and her daughter. We went to get something off our list to prepare for school to start next week.
After that, her husband randomly asked if we want to go for ice-cream. Hahahahha I never say no to ice-cream.
However this ice-cream is a bit unique and special as it contains some alcohol. I HAVE HEARD OF THIS SHOP NAMED THE ICE-CREAM BAR but because it is a distance away so never in my mind to drop by it yet.
Conveniently, I tagged along and arrived to see queue outside the shop. According to my friend, it is normal to have a queue, wow!
Love the simplicity of the plant decorations outside. I always love the combination of green and white colour.

Look at the variety of ice-cream they have. Very interesting flavours. They have alcohol and non-alcohol flavours.
They also do have cakes and ice cream in tubs too.
The shop is very simple in their interior and not too complicated. I mean their ice-cream speaks for themselves!
I got the Kahlua Cheesecake for myself as my friend recommended it. It tastes really good and I could barely taste the alcohol though.
Meanwhile, my friend got Rum and Raisin for herself and her husband to try.
There is one flavour I am tempted to try which is Guinness Brownies. Maybe next time I will go for that. For this time, we after we got our ice cream, we ate in the car. I felt more comfortable that way too.
Ice-cream aside, I want to talk about how this short 3 hours made me feel. Last week was a whole lot of emotions for me as my mum needed to go through a surgery to remove her thyroid gland due to growths of TIRADS 4 spotted in the midst of me prepping for my son's schooling. This morning, I attended an online orientation from my son's school and did feel information overloaded. So I was feeling overwhelmed actually.
Tonight, in this 3 hours, I tagged along with them, went to get the school bag for my son, went in the hour when the shops were closing so there were barely anyone in the mall, went into a book shop to slowly shop for a book for my friend's daughter. That was a rare slow paced point in my current life. I even felt as if I was back to single hahahhaahha. Not that I don't adore my current family, don't get me wrong. It was just a deja vu moment remembering the time when my mentor friend was still my cell leader and she took me and my another friend for ice-cream to help us distress during our university times.
I really appreciate this short time with them. Could even buddy her 11-year-old daughter. That was indeed a refreshing time for me. So thankful and grateful for this friend ❤.

For midnight, usually I looked at my freezer 😂
Hahahaha I too like to usually check out my freezer at midnight so this was a rare going out for me. Yes it was a bit crowded so it makes me wonder if everyone else goes out for ice cream late night these days. I bought and left for home hehe.
