Documenting My Week So Far

Celebrated the eldest nephew's 12th birthday!

My youngest and me during this one whole week of me taking care of him in the night when he coughed and cried sometimes.

I resume my full-fledged routine this week with my tuitions all back to schedule. Feel like life is back on track.

The boys are still sick and I was getting a bit concerned because it is nearing 2 weeks. Brought the eldest to see a doctor, and not any random doctor as it has to be the one he likes. He even asked me about why he is taking so long to recover. Fortunately for us, there is a doctor in my neighbourhood that he is very comfortable with. He knew her from his covid vaccination and she made it not scary at all for him. From then onwards, injection has become nothing to him. Mind you, before that in every vaccination, he cried like mahe wailed sometimes, having to be pinned down to get his jabs. So glad this doctor changed that once and for all. He started talking to her the moment he saw her even before entering the consultation room. He went on and on, telling her he had some problems. So she was very engaging in his talk too. It made me hard to even interfere because the two of them went on and on. The doctor checked his throat and said it is a bit flared. She prescribed antibiotics to help him recover and also a tablet medicine for his phlegm condition. He seemed to not be able to clear his phlegm so I was hesitant because he had never swallowed a tablet. The doctor persuaded him and he said, "I think I can do it!" Since then, he has been swallowing the tablet like a champ, new achievement unlocked for this 7-year-old! I am so proud of him!

Thinking of lossening his phlegm, I went around learning about nebulizer. I was thinking if I want to equip the home with one so I went from pharmacy to pharmacy to do my "research". 2 out of 3 pharmacists advised the usage of ventolin which is to open up the airway of the lungs yet it may make one dependant on it, should another round the same condition arises. This was the biggest hesitation for me so I decided I will not buy one for now. Also the doctor did say he does not need it unless there is wheezing in his breathing. Which he does not. The doctor listened to his lungs and said that they are strong.

After my tuition on Friday, I went to meet the whole family for a birthday celebration for my 12-year-old nephew who has changed his voice into adult voice now and he has grown into a fine young man! This time, his dad and mum had both thier brother's families to join them which means there are cousins from both sides celebrating with him together. We ate Korean Fried Chicken which was very very delicious in this shop called Chicken Plus in our neighbourhood mall. I decided we needed to take a group picture because we seldom get to have all of us eating together though my father-in-law could not make it this time as he needed to rest. It was a very very good get-together especially after a long week of us doing our own jobs and routines.

My youngest son has been recovering quite well, despite him crying almost every hour at the beginning of the week. He now can finally sleep through and he is actually very very happy every night before sleep but sometimes the phlegm maybe made him feel suffering in the sleep. There was one night he cried as if he was being so scared. He cried and sobbed so badly. It made me feel so heart sick for him. Even with me carrying and comforting him, he still felt so upset. Now that he is getting better, I am so grateful and thank God for His healing.

Well, the weekend is here and I am glad that tonight I need not do my usual night class and can actually blog and even do my night mask to relax. Tomorrow's Sunday which is one of the most look-forward-to day as we get to go church to worship God! Hope you are having a pleasant weekend too!
